Both Gaspe and La Baie are lovely ports of call But you must do an excursion.

No NCL does not have to provide a place to smoke nor does your employer .BUT SMOKING IS A RIGHT FOR ALL OF LEGAL AGE TO DO SO. I have been cruising for 40 years and not once have I ever heard someone say I am not going on a cruise because people can smoke on a balcony...it is also my right to post my opinion.

Did you hear about the fire on the Star Princess several years ago? I am surprised any cruise line allows smoking on balconies. That fire could have caused a great loss of life!

Do you need a membership to be AARP or is it just based on age?

For a $15 membership to CARP and bringing your card along on the cruise why bother about do I need the card and should I bring it along?

We have selected NCL B2B for the ports.Halifax is the only repeat port on the B2B and one can easily spend two days there.Don't do the cruise until the fall but as a Princess loyalist would agree with the above comments as far as time on board the cruiseship.We did Pride of America in Hawaii and it certainly wasn't a Princess! I expect transportation , food ,and lodging and hope for more.

Waterproof/resistant coat with removable liner to wear in Fjords and Arctic Circle. Something long enough to cover my rear end. I have jackets that I wear here, but my rain coat isn't big enough to wear with fleece under and my warm coat is not waterproof. Don't want to spend $300 for North Face 3 in 1, we just don't get that cold here.

A Princess raincoat in XL size will cover almost anything. We never travel without them. Sharon has a L.

In spite of being a Princess fan if another line has a better itinerary we will take it. In September we will be doing a back to back with NCL on the Dawn from Quebec to Boston to Quebec with 10 ports of call.They also do the cruise as back to back from Boston.The cruises are a litte earlier in the season(not as cold) and afford a thorough look at the Maritime Provices in Canada.NCL is not Princess(we did Pride of America in Hawaii) but you will not starve and accommodations are comfortable.From what I have read the entertainment on Norwegian ships is competitive with Princess.POA does not need competitive entertainment-you are in Hawaii!!
