These pictures were taken on Millennium in January 2020, the last few cruises before she suspended services.

This is exactly what I was looking for; thank you so much!  My hubby and I are dancers and we wanted to be sure that the refurbishment hadn't affected the dance floor.  🙂

  2. We've done most of our cruising with Celebrity over the last decade so I'm used to the way that they do things. When you do the online check in, you're asked for info on the credit card that you want associated with your sea pass card.

We just booked our first Oceania cruise and while I was doing the online check in, I wasn't asked for my credit card info at all. Do they not use a sea pass card while on board? Can someone fill me in on how this works?

    Thanks!

  3. Does anyone have copies of the dailies from the Oceania Marina? My hubby and I just booked the 12 day Caribbean Gems cruise and I'd like to make dinner reservations. We are avid dancers and don't want to book dinner at a time when it conflicts with available dancing so I'd really like to check the dailies first. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

  4. My hubby and I are considering a cruise on the Getaway for December. We are avid dancers and I've seen that one of the dining rooms has a dance floor.

Is there actually dancing during dinner or only before/after dinner? Are you assigned a dining room when you book or do you just go to the dining room that you want to eat in? If you are assigned a dining room, can you request the one that you prefer to dine in?

    Thanks!

  5. I haven't seen any recent posts about ballroom dancing so I wonder if someone could give me more current information. I believe there are 2 dance venues on board? What kind of dancing is available and where? What kind of music?

My husband and I are ballroom/Latin/West Coast Swing dancers and plan our cruises accordingly. We don't need a standard size dance floor, just somewhere where we can do a bit of dancing every night. Is that an option on this ship?

    Thanks!

  6. My hubby and I are seasoned cruisers although we have never cruised on P&O before. We're considering a cruise on the Britannia and would be really interested to know what kind of opportunities there are to dance on board. We are ballroom, Latin and swing dancers and plan our cruises around whether there is enough dancing to keep us happy.

I know there is the Crystal Room to dance in; does anyone have a picture of the dance floor there? Are there other dance venues and if so, any pics of those? We do a lot of West Coast Swing which can be done to contemporary music.

Are there regular times set aside for ballroom dancing? Any answers to my questions or any other info about dancing would be greatly appreciated. :)

  7. My husband and I are considering a cruise on the Quest over Xmas; we are both avid dancers and plan our cruises based on the dancing opportunities on board.

Can anyone tell me what the present dancing opportunities are on the Quest? We don't want to book the cruise and then be disappointed. I did do a search for other threads on this topic but couldn't find anything recent.

    Thanks so much.

  8. My husband and I are considering a cruise on the Allure or the Harmony late this year; we are ballroom/West Coast Swing dancers and I'd like to know a little about the dancing opportunities on this class of ship.

Can anyone tell me if they've done any ballroom dancing on the Oasis or the Allure? I know that they have two venues for dancing - The Bolero and Dazzles. I don't mean to sound like a "dance snob" but are there any times that are dedicated to serious ballroom dancing or will we be fighting kids playing on the floor every time we try to dance?

Also, if anyone can send me the dailies for one of these ships, I'd really appreciate it. That way, I can see if they have any regular dancing that we can take advantage of.

    Thanks so much!

  9. Slighty off topic but, I think, relevant ... a few years ago, a fellow passenger broke my camera (a whole 'nother story, lol) so we bought a new one while on the cruise. The very DAY that we stepped off the ship, the brand new camera stopped working; when we got home, we enquired with the manufacturer about having it fixed/replaced. We found out that we had to pay to ship it back to Celebrity and then Celebrity had to ship it back to the manufacturer for repair/replacement.

It ended up taking forever to get the camera back and the whole process was a HUGE pain in the neck. We will never again buy electronics on a cruise. Just a heads up ...

  10. I have the dailies for both 7 day Southern Caribbean itineraries on the Celebrity Summit. If you'd like either (or both), email me at shelly_baillie@yahoo.ca . Please do not reply here asking for them because I won't see your request.

Also, keep in mind that for some reason, one of the itineraries was changed without notice and we stopped at St. Maarten instead of Tortola.
