  1. Just left Ovation May 30 and spoke to Destinations and was assured the Cubacruises will go on. She gave me a copy of the latest Q&A on Cuba and seemed very sure the cruises to Cuba will be on. She assured me I would be kept informed if there should be any change made. I am booked on 4/11/19: not my best choice but family Thanksgiving plan set in stone so the 28th not possible. Keeping my fingers crossed.

  2. You will take on extra staff who are delivered along with their large boxes from a rib once inside the Red Sea to bolster the ship's non lethal defences.. No need to be concerned. There are also additional military resources in the area should they be required.

If there was any doubt Seabourn would not take their ships there.

    Henry :)

Well, Henry, I wish they had known that on November 5, 2005

  3.

  4. Brian: Thank you for responding to my query re jet lag. I have been trying to go to bed earlier but didn't have much luck last night because I stayed up to watch Poldark! I know you are supposed to forgo "blue light" after dinner...but..Anyway, it sounds like we are in for a wonderful 10 days after your great review of your first day.

Glad I have my portable USB charger and plug adapter whatyoucallit.

We leave from Logan-Frankfurt-Venice and I am not looking forward to that part of the journey! Too many things can happen as you found out. But so glad everything turned out so well for you.

  5. Interested in your journey, Brian. My daughter and I are leaving 8/15 for Venice via Lufthansa business class (lucky us!) We are boarding Whisper on Saturday, the 18th! I am interested to know how jet lag affected your journey. We are staying at the Monaco & Grand Hotel in Venice the day before in order to try and mitigate some of the jet lag! This is my 4th cruise with SS but they were taken long ago with my late husband.

  6. Thank you so much, Marcie! We miss you all so much. Clyde had three big parties so he was well feted by friends and particularly family. Both sides were here-all 25 of us. BUT, NO card from Regent! Big boo- I'm sure we were erased from any card sending long ago but will never stop getting their brochures!! That's ok, Clyde still loves to look at them and dream! But he does think their prices are ridiculous! (We were a couple who wanted an " opt-out" choice when they went all inclusive.). Thanks all for putting up with this conversation-I know it's "off topic"[emoji51]

  7. Well, hasn't happened yet!! But 8/23 isn't far off. Regent still has 6 days to come through! But seriously, I hope all you posters live long lives and travel right up to your late 90's as we did. There were some falls, sure and one time I had pneumonia but boy did we see the world! So, good health to all of you and smooth sailing always. Jean Noll
