I would like it if everyday were a port day! I don't care much about being on the ship and use cruising as a fairly inexpensive way to visit multiple destinations.

I had the same issue but somebody here helped me figure it out.
Google AARP Rewards for Good and create an account. You will notice you have some points. A certain number of points are required to purchase gift cards. You can earn more points by taking the quizzes on the site. They are quick and painless.
You'll want to find the "View the Rewards Catalog" link. From there, you can purchase the cards. Right now I think you can buy 5 cards every 7 days.

I made an account and have been looking on the AARP Member Advantages website for a few day but am completely unable to find Carnival giftcards. Am I looking in the wrong place?

In December, we did a ship-sponsored excursion with our kids who were 6, 9 and 12 at the time. It was a zipline/horseback riding combo tour that included lunch. It was an absolute blast! My kids still talk about it regularly. Before the excursion, I had some reservations over safety...especially with the younger two but once we were there I was very much at ease. I would definitely recommend it, if those activities sound like fun to your family.
