We are two families with boys aged 17 and 20 looking to cruise out of St.Martin this winter on Horizon.

Would you recommend this line? We have done Carnival, Costa, Norweigen and Disney. I honestly do not have a preference....we are not cruise snobs at all! Just looking for good food, and different islands.

Most of our group speaks French, but a few do not. Will this be hard for them?

No problem in checked bags...five of us had our bags delivered no problem....

They do take it out of your carry on from Duty Free however......

We are two families of four (each have two teen sons), and are doing 2 nights pre cruise, then one night post cruise in San Juan in Feb/Mar 2010.

I was thinking originally Sheraton Old San Juan precruise, but have been really impressed with the intercontinental.......

I am now thinking intercontinental precruise then Sheraton post cruise....as we could just walk off the boat to the hotel.

How do I bid on priceline/hotwire? Any tips? Should I bid for both families at the same time to ensure we are together?

Any tips would be appreciated! I have read tons, but I am still a bit hesitant to try myself....
