I’ll respond to my own question in case it’s helpful to others. Overall, I thought the place was great and would go back the next time we’re in Cozumel. Food/drinks were plentiful but not the best.

There is a kids area where my kids hung out for a while and got their faces painted for free.

Customers with day passes need to leave by 5pm, otherwise we probably would have stayed later.

how did you purchase day passes?  thanks.

This should help with any road closures. I know both I-49 near Shreveport and I-10 east of BR would be the areas to watch closely. I-10 near the i-49 interchange (the Lafayette area) is all clear.

That website is so awesome! thanks for sharing. I just looked at it, and I think we are going to go with plan B, which is travel to Houston and take I-10. But greatly appreciate it!

  3. Thanks for starting this thread, I am also driving down to New Orleans for the Dream on sunday and have been watching the weather closely. So if anyone has any road updates (specially the interstates 20, 49, 10, 12) those would be very useful. Its hard to get updates for an area you are not in. Flooding is no joke, so I plan on driving during the day to avoid any dark / unknown areas and avoid ending up in some water! But that's my plan. I wish I had the nerves of steel of Ruthlessboss, but then again, I don't live where he lives so he does have an advantage of what to do, where to go, and what areas to avoid!

  4. The cruise is for March 7, 2015 out of Houston on the jewel. It basically said that due to overscheduling they were changing roatan to banana coast. I looked at the website that tells you how many ships are in port, and it did say 4 for roatan, but I also read that some ships tender, so I just figured we were going to tender. Guess not. but im open to change, just wanted to know if anyone had any previous experience with this new port.

  5. Ok, can someone just clarify a few things for me since they are a bit hazy, thanks in advance.

    1) 15 drink limit is for alcoholic beverages, but you can still have unlimited soda beverages?

    2) there is a 5 minute waiting period between alcoholic beverages?

    3) Going out of Texas, you can not purchase the program until the first sea day, meaning your cheers program is valid for only 6 days?

    4) If I get all 15 drinks in the casino, I can technically receive 15 $5 bet coupons?

    Thanks!

  6. I will be in cozumel in june as well and im trying to figure out which one to pick, does anyone have any photos of both places? maybe the photos will help me decide! i'm kinda leaning towards mr. sanchos right now as they say you can order anything from the menu, does nachi have a menu or is it like a set of choices? any more insight will definately help! thanks everyone!
