  1. We are platinum and will be traveling with another couple who are new to Princess. I know that they cannot got through priority check in, we will just use regular check in with them. My question is upon disembarking will they be able to use the Platinum/Elite disembarking lounge with us? Our bookings are linked and we are traveling home together on the same flights.

  2. IECalcruiser thanks for the reply, I was already able to find that on the princess we site, also found the family suite layout. Guess I should have been more specific with my question. The Suite layout per the Princess site makes it look as if you cannot have a queen bed configurationin the second bed room . Would like to see some actual pictures of a family suite, or feedback from cruisers that have had experience with a family suite, I understand the balcony is unusable while the ship is underway....not a problem, as we usually book window suites and do not have access to a balcony anyway.

  3. We are wanting to book an Alaska cruise with friends for next year. Our friends are first time cruisers and we are hooked on the princess window suites. Our friends areal interested in the suite experience, but we are limited in our choices of ships if we book window suites. We have been thinking about maybe booking a family suite as this would not limit our choice of ships or cruises. I have been trying to find some pictures of Family suites with no success, can anyone help us out with some pictures or links?

  4. As others have said to similar comments.... READ THE WHOLE THREAD.

In particular look at post #30 which includes a screen of what folks see if they are on a cruise which requires tours to be pre-paid.

This is new and is apparently being introduced progressively with the result that it is appearing as a requirement on some cruises but not others. Clearly it is not a requirement on your September cruise.

However, in the case of my December cruise, although I can't yet see the tours, it is already clear that the cruise will be subject to the new system as I am being offered the opportunity to make my Select Dining reservations in advance BUT ONLY if I pay up front at the time of making the reservation.

If you continue on to pay as seen in the screen shot on post #30 it will give you the option to pay with OBC

  5. Wow, ok looks like I will need to do a little shopping when we land. Usually loyal Princess cruisers, looks like we need to stick to our brand.Princess has shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, bath salts all from the Lotus Spa. This is a charter....Rock Legends..70's and 80's classic rock, live bands, going for the entertainment.

  6. Next week we will be going on our first RCI cruise. Its a four day full charter cruise so we are going to attempt it with only carry on luggage. Sense we cannot carry liquids on the plane I know we will have to pick up some hygene products in town. What kind of bathroom amenities can we expect in our cabin? Are they a good quality? We have booked a deluxe balcony cabin.

  7. Ill be looking forward to your review. Middle of the bump cabin is just what I had in mind, would love some pictures if possible. We are/were up to this point loyal Princess cruisers. Only doing this one because it is the Rock Legends IV cruise. We also usually do all booking through the cruise line, had to do this one through the group promoting the Rock Legends cruise. This time I will have to book flights, find a pre cruise hotel and transportation to and from the ship, not looking forward to that part. I know there will be lots of differences between the two cruise lines, I have been trying to read all I can here on cruise critic.. Getting a severe Information overload!LOL
