  1. Has anyone walked from the cruise ship to surfside beach recently? Wondering if there is

any new construction in the way of the walk. Also how long did the walk take.

  2. We have all but one of the key cards we have used while on board our cruises. The one we would like to get I have a feeling will be near impossible. Our very first cruise on board the Norwegian Cruise Lines, SS Norway. In 2000 they were using a plastic key card with holes in them that you turned into the desk on your way off the ship. By 2003 when we cruised on that ship once again, they were using the electronic strip cards you kept at the end of the cruise. We have that one, but I sure would like to get my hands on one of the first cards we had for our collection.

Anyone out there remember those cards? Anyone out there have one?

  3. Thank you for the feedback. I should have mentioned the ports we would be in. We will be cruising from Seward to Vancouver, ports are: Skagway, Juneau, Icy Strait and Ketchikan. Taking our boys, and they want to go Halibut fishing, Was mostly wondering about Ketchikan, but from what I can see Icy Strait also has fishing.

  4. We were wondering which way to go on Fishing in Alaska. Is it best to book the fishing excursion through the ship or through a private charter. How many are on a Fishing boat if booked through the ship? We are mostly interested in the Halibat Fishing via Royal Caribbean excursion. Any insite would be welcome.

    Thank you,

  5. We have sailed on the Dawn several times, and always enjoyed Jose and Patti.

We will again be sailing on the Dawn and we see Jose and Patti will not be on the ship until March 8.

Does anyone know what they have for entertainment in January and February?

  6. We just returned on Sunday from our Norwegian Dawn cruise. We did the St. Kitts Sky Safari Zipline. We purchased our reservation through the Tour Store on St. Kitts with no problem, back in November. The Tour Store wanted a faxed copy form for the reservation including our credit card number. We weren't comfortable with that so we purchased a gift type credit card for the amount needed from our Bank and sent them that number. The charge was for the entire amount, so we felt comfortable that it couldn't be overcharged. The Tour Store booking was great, they sent us instructions and a map of where the store was. We had no problem finding the store, they hired a taxi service to take us to the Sky Safari location and we were well on our way to Zip Lining. Sky Safari was a lot of fun. The people there were helpful and between lines they told us a little about the local trees plants and surrounding area. The highest point on the mountain had an incredible view. We even saw a Monkey in the trees. I would recommend this excursion and booking with the Tour Store. One helpful hint, take enough cash to tip the guys helping with the zip tour. We felt bad we did not have enough cash on hand for that as they really did work hard to make sure we had a good time.
