  1. This is a cautionary tale from a friend just off a cruise. Two couples flew in to Fort Lauderdale the day before the cruise.Another couple decided to fly in the day of the cruise from Buffalo NY.The flight was cancelled due to a winter storm.

After much calling and anxiety a flight was located coming from Toronto ON. About 100 miles from Buffalo where the couple were stranded they had to drive in a blizzard to get to the Toronto airport .

The plane from Toronto was delayed two hours. They arrived in Fort Lauderdale and had to bribe the cab driver to break the speed limit and got to the ship with 5 minutes to spare, they were the last people to board.

The moral of the story"Do NOT fly in the day the cruise departs for ANY reason!"

  2. We have sailed on the Allure twice and find it too big and like a mall rather than a ship.

Will some CC'S share their opinion on what ships they find shippy.

    I mean more nautical,but still nice amenities.

  3. Been looking on the RCCL website but can't find the answer to a couple of questions and hoping someone can help. Is there a limit as to how many drinks you can have a day? Also what is the top price of a drink you can have with the pkg. (Not counting wine)

There is no limit to the amount of drinks you can have per day.I drank top shelf liquors (Grey goose martinis,Drambuie rusty nails etc) and mostly doubles without a problem. The Allure Ap[ril 2016:cool:

  4. Hello All,

We have registered for the Zipline in Labadee Haiti on the Dragon's Breath. My question is that can my wife go on the Zipline with her head scarf. My wife wears a head scarf for religious reasons, she only covers her hair. Is this allowed? Does anyone have any pictures of all the rules for this Zipline?

The same question would apply for the Zipline on Allure of the Seas.

    Thank you to all

They have you wear a helmet on the ziplines so your wifes head covering will not be a issue.

    Just saying!

  6. I doubt if a drink package is right for you.We are just off of Allure(apr17-24).I am a pretty good drinker of straight liquor drinks(martinis, manhattens etc.) and I did not break even on the drink package.Unless you plan to be loaded all day pay as you go for drinks.

  7. First time flying in and out of Fort Lauderdale. There is a 12 noon flight to Canada but didn't know with travel from pier, customs, etc. Whether this would be okay. Anyone have experience with this?

We have flown out of FLL many times and never had a problem with a flight around noon.We are flying out in April with 11.50 FLIGHT TO Toronto.THE AIRPORT IS ONLY A FEW MINUTES FROM THE PORT.

  8. We are doing a B2B in 10 days on Allure. The best part of it will be coming to CC daily to gripe about any little issue, especially things RC can't control.;). I don't know how we will ever survive two weeks.

    Edit: pure sarcasm.

I do hope you will do the Canadian thing and say sorry for any complaints you may have!:D

  9. I just read the latest reviews of the ALLURE.It seems the writers of the reviews have missed the point of cruising. They say that the staff was friendly, the activities were fun and plentiful, the food was good ,the ports were interesting and overall the cruise was great.

Don't they know reviews are supposed to be a litany of complaints ,no matter how trivial.
