  1. Me and my mom were outside alot when we on the water and we saw a ton of whales. This was first week of september no binoculars we also saw dolphins and a couple eagles.

  2. For the people purchasing the photo package just be forewarned that the posed casual pictures (with the white background) are NOT included in the package.

(Also, the platinum studio photos are not included)

Those are the only ones we've gotten in the last 10 years or so and thus the package would be a waste for us.

Me and my mom posed one night for the white background photos probably close to 20 different shots and we got them all with the package.

  3. When I saw the $99 deal, I purchased for both my Alaska and Hawaii cruise. We finished the Alaska cruise in September, and our photos averaged $8.17 each. Alaska was a 10 day cruise, so when we do Hawaii next March for 15 days, I am guessing I can get the average cost even lower. As others have said, it is nice not having to tell the photographers no all the time.

ya if you take pics everytime you see a photographer you should be able to get it way lower. On our cruise to alaska it was 7 days and we got 123 pics for $99

  4. What are the cost of photos these days? Have not sailed with Princess for about 3 or 4 years. Do they still have two sizes of photos or are they all just one size now. In the past they had the formal photos in 8X10 and the others in a smaller size. Thanks for any info.

    Carolyn

the port photos were like 5x7 size where as the formal and casual photos were 8x10 and most of the photos were like 25 dollars

  5. Did you go to Anna's Bingo game in Club Fusion last Saturday about 11:15 A.M.? We had never been to Bingo, so we thought we would give it a try. Anna announced that the Bingo game would be to get Bingo numbers any 6 together. Now, experienced, Bingo players knew that any 6 together, meant any 6 numbers in a rectangle, either horizontal or vertical. But, we were brand new, and we didn't know that !

So, we got 6 numbers together in a diagonal line that kind of bent around the card, then happily called out "Bingo" !

Anna came over, looked at our card, and said, "No. You guys got a "bongo". That's a non-bingo. Now, come with me out on the dance floor, because we have to officially check the computer."

LOL !! NEVER go out on the dance floor w/ Anna or any member of the entertainment staff. We were completely fooled, because we thought Anna was going to check the computer as she said.

WRONG !! She put on this silly song "Chicken Dance" because we goofed up and got "Bongo" and we had to do the "Chicken Dance" with her, while all the other Bingo passengers group laughed their heads off at us. AAARGH !!! That was totally embarrassing..:rolleyes::rolleyes:

She's hilarious, and I know she's paid to be entertaining, but as a warning, NEVER go out on the dance floor with Anna, even if she takes your hand and says, "Now.......just come along with me, I have a surprise for you.".

I suppose we could be excused for goofing up the Bingo because we are brand-new rookies to Princess Bingo......but still. -- EBC

Didn't go to that one but did check out musical bingo on on either the first night or the first at sea day. They announced the bongo thing and I think 4 people ended up having to bongo during that event.
  6. HI ! :D By "signature line", I mean the little rectangle box at the end of the message here that says, "Sailed", then it shows the ship name. For example, my signature box says, "Sailed", and then Emerald Princess, at the end of each message.

Cruise Director Corey mentioned that he was looking forward to sailing to Hawaii in a few weeks, so it seems that Corey will continue on with the Emerald Princess. Here are some of other entertainment staff members we met:

Caitlyn, from Santa Barbara, Calif. Dark hair, glasses, just joined Princess about 12 weeks ago. She hosts the military veterans get-togethers and conducts the star-gazing talks.

Anna, from Mexico. Dark hair, pigtails. She is very, very, funny and runs the bingo and trivia games.

Hector, the D.J. who plays the dance tunes in the nightclub when the live band takes a break. He also supervises group games like paper airplane toss, and the skateboard game in the center Piazza, decks, 5,6,7. This entire entertainment staff is very high energy, upbeat, very friendly and approachable. :D

Corey has a morning tv show, called "The Wake Show" that is on from 6 A.M. to 10 A.M., when he does interviews and announces all the upcoming events -- I believe it is on Channel 21 or Channel 3.

If you're going to Hawaii then on to the South Pacific, I know you will have a wonderful time ! Please let us know all about it ! Happy Sailing !! :D

was on your cruise and anna was hilarious during the trivia definitely had the most fun on her days.

  7. My favorite would be photographer tumi he was really nice and laughed and joked with me and my mom and he remembered my name and on last formal night he called me by name and on disembarkation i was walking to my spot and walked through the gallery and he again called me by name and was joking around with me.

  8. No but it is better safe than sorry for a very easy phone call. On the way to Kentucky for my mother's funeral, from only one state over in Tennessee, Discover card shut my card off and I was unable to use it for gas or a hotel room and it was the middle of the night by the time I arrived in my mother's Hometown! I will never make that mistake again. Although I find that to be an extreme situation and probably the person working the desk that got alerted to it was new and went a little overboard haha... it was a terrible inconvenience! Luckily the front desk guy let us stay anyway and clear it up the next morning. Thank goodness for small town hospitality. I couldn't believe they shut it off for being only one state over. We are only an hour from the state line to begin with.

  10. me and my dad loved zion bryce arches i dont think we did canyonlands but utah was so beautiful

We stopped cruising several years ago after we bought a large RV. Now it's road trips only - SO much fun! (and we can bring the dog)

My favorite road trip was to the national parks in Southern Utah: Brice, Zion, Canyonlands, etc. AMAZING sights to see! Absolutely amazing!

When we retire next year, we'll be living part-time in the RV traveling all over the USA. Can't wait!
