On the other hand, they set the minimum bid.. my guess is lower bids are accepted last, so we will probably not hear until 2 days before sailing. Will update once we know..

April 8th - Expedia shows 9 Sky Suites available for booking so you got a chance

Curious how the bidding process works. My husband and I are booked for a TA next year in a Prime Infinite Balcony. If you're given the option to upgrade, is it only to the next available level up?

As someone else said --- you will see available categories above where you are currently booked - I saw Sky Suite as well as 3 or 4 other higher level suites

I have the exact same situation and I am on your same sailing. Curious if others are in the same boat?  Can anyone on this cruise still modify a bid?

UPDATE:  I just got the move up awarded so hopefully your upgrade is coming soon!

    what did you bid?

Congratulations @jpsykes!!  Yes we are on the same cruise.  We are in a Concierge currently and bid on Sky Suite,  Was your bid at any time showing pending and you couldn't change it?

We also went from Concierge to Sky Suite - bid was $855 (each) - we are Elite so got that slight bump percentage. Showed pending but I never tried to change it and never saw it in 'locked' status.

Same situation here! We took the elevator twice in the ten days otherwise stairs every. single. time…can’t imagine how much we’d have gained if not but apparently eight flights of stairs won’t burn off a Mai Tai 😬🤣. And I have to place a big chunk of the blame on the wonderful staff at Al Bacio…ask for a cookie or tart and suddenly there’s two in the bag, of each! 🤷‍♀️I’m not one to waste food 😇 😉

    Truth.

People are now having luck with AirTags (Apple) or tile trackers for other smartphone users.  EM

Yep - we have the Samsung Smart Tags - one in each piece of luggage, purse, knapsack, etc. So far have never had to use them but it is a comforting to board the plane and see that the luggage is also on the plane and also know that's it's off the plane and waiting to go on baggage claim.

Sailing on the Apex in a few weeks... we are currently in an inside cabin.  I just looked and there appears to be no oceanview cabins available (only Oceanview GTY is showing).  Does this mean there are no oceanview cabins left?

I was wondering if it would be worth submitting a MoveUp bid for an oceanview to see if it was accepted, would we get upgraded to a balcony (of which there are lots available).

Or would my bid just likely be rejected because there are actually no oceanviews available?

    Thanks

I am sure some of the oceanviews are going to bid to move up therefore opening up some rooms... and of course no shows and last minute cancellations.

  9. we've told the daughters to wait until we have both passed away and scatter our ashes together off a Celebrity Cruise that we (hopefully) will be paying for via inheritance to them.

Father-in-law was retired navy (Enterprise WW2) and he was buried at sea - navy sent back video of the burial - they did it with a lot of respect and formal ceremony. Mother-in-law passed away years later and was also buried at sea by the navy and again we got a nice video of it. Navy would do it for the wife (direct descendant)  but not me.

  10. We submitted request June 15 and it just showed up this morning (June 28)

I'm thinking that whoever is doing this only looks at the request ever 3 or 4 days and tries to catch-up on all the request then. Oher days they are busy doing other things. Like I said - just a guess
