I was on this sailing.  VERY crowded.  It was impossible to get near the Hot tubs.  I was rather disappointed that Freedom was that crowded yet the Mariner that had the same itinerary ( Except from Port Canaveral instead of Miami) only had 1500.

Had I known in advance that Freedom would be that crowded I would have chosen the Mariner.

And to make things worse we shared Coco Cay with with Allure ( Who only had 2700 on board) and the pool was wall to wall people without any seating   Good thing we got off the ship early and found the deck chairs we wanted.

There was no waiting in the dining room for my time dining and I was usually able to find a seat at the pub or the schooner bar.  But the pools  - not so much ( unless you go early).  I did not see chair hogs.  Lots of people on the pool decks in chairs.

Agree.  Sunday the Solarium was packed.  Perhaps that's why they had 2 "Alpha Alpha Alpha"s on Deck 11?

  2. Thank you so much for all of this information!  My daughter & I will be on the 3 nighter next week as the family guinea pigs for getting back on cruises.  I feel like it has been forever since our last cruise (Aug 2019) and SO excited even though its just a short one.

One question - can we get towels on Coco Cay or do we need to bring them from the ship?  Trying to figure out which beach bag to bring.

    Enjoy your last full day!

I'm sure there are lots of people that don't realize you can get a refund and/or get the reps on the phone that tell them FCC only even though wrong answer

Unfortunately the time limit of requesting a refund from the 1st round of cancellations was 12/31/2020.  Was hard to imagine the length of the pandemic.  Have tried to get a refund but they won't budge.  Should I keep calling until I get the right rep?

Just curious since I never paid attention to the point system before when we started cruising, but what was the deal with the old Diamonds in December offer that used to happen?

We were too new to cruising and did not know if we would stick with it  (LOL) new addiction.

    TY

    Stay Healthy

This was probably already answered (haven't gotten thru to page 25 yet), but we did several Diamonds in December and we would get 3 points per night for a suite.  So just one additional point.

You and Vikki could be sisters.  I swear she could live for a week with the snacks she has stashed in her car.  On our drives to zFlorida I swear there’s more food than luggage in the car.

I think its one of those "mom" things.  My kids are in their 20's & live out of state but I still carry granola bars in my purse.  You just never know...

  6. Trying to decide if we should go to CK on lobster night instead of MDR. I’ve read that lobster in CK is bigger & better than MDR, but the menu for MDR shows some of our favorite appetizers (Visalia onion tart, caprese salad). Can we ask for these in CK even tho they are not on the menu? Is the lobster really any different?

Honest opinions please. We tried CK on the Oasis a few years ago & found the service & food to be meh.

Your son just needs to call. My son did it last year for his girlfriend.  She was diamond before she even boarded the ship for the first time.

This surprises me.  My daughter is D+ and has been living with her fiance for 2 years (both names on the lease).  We tried twice to get him D+ status on cruises we took together.  Both times we were told by C&A that living together doesn't work, they have to be married for him to inherit her status.  He now feels like a "serf" but he does have that dowry coming next year when they get married.
