Do you get the wine back at the end of the meal and just bring it back the next day? and do they actually serve you or can you just keep it on your table and pour yourself?
Never had brought wine before, but with drink prices I think I may.

Sorry to hijack but does anyone know if you can get all your stuff pressed/ dry cleaned embarkation day? How does that work? Do you find a laundry bag in the closet and just give to your attendant?
Thanks!

Thanks for the review and pictures! Do you recall what day/time the welcome back party was for gold c&a members? I only remember seeing it listed for diamond on the ones you posted unless I missed it

How old are your children? curious, trying to decide what to do in Falmouth and we have a 3.5 and 9 year old. Wasn't thinking to walk around on our own with the kids.

Greetings, I booked this tour in April for our stop on the Freedom in Grand Cayman but noticing a compass from the Freedom on the current Western route, it states first tender leaves at 830 am to the island and last one leaves the island at 3:15.
My email confirmation from Nativeway says we leave the pier at 915 am and return at 230 pm Eastern Daylight Savings time.
So that leaves 45 minutes to get back on the ship. I'm wondering if you have also had this excursion if you had to "sweat" it out getting on a tender to make it back to the ship. Any excursions I've ever had independently of the cruise lines offerings I've usually had over an hour to spare.
I guess I'm just worried about making it back in time and it could be all for nothing but wanted to see how it worked out for everyone else.

Hi all, was wondering if anyone has an idea of whether the Bamboo Rafting on the Martha Brae would be a good idea for an almost 4 year old? We will be a party of 4 total and based on some of the pics it looks like there is only 2 seats to sit on but the raft would accommodate?
He isn't a swimmer just yet so not sure if advisable to do this one.
Any suggestions appreciated.

I've only been on the Liberty, but it was one of my favorite cruises. Had a lot to do with the fact that it was my honeymoon and the itinerary was great, but enjoyed the ship and crew vastly.
Guy's Burgers will change your life! The 2.0 upgrades were great but the limited times Blue Iguana was open kind of stunk.
I've read some good and bad for the Magic, but since it is a bigger ship I may go for that if I were you. If I was choosing on ship alone that is what I would do.
Gl!

FYI-- I booked directly with dolphin discovery for Grand Cayman on Thursday. Due to high winds, they did not let us tender. I called dolphin discovery immediately and they transferred my booking to Cozumel for the next day(Friday). No problems at all. I was very pleased. Lunch was not included when I booked for GC, but they did include it for Cozumel. We did purchase the photo cd for $157 for three people. It is based on the number of people in your family. We had 198 photos on the disc and got to choose 3 prints. I was hesitant to pay that much for photos ahead of time, but once we saw the pics and how many there were it was not that bad of a deal.
Forgive my ignorance... how did you call them to switch it to Cozumel? From a ship phone? Did you use your cell? (worried about roaming).
My worry is that if I book independent and need to call the company to do something similar, I will have to pay a lot to get a call out to them..

Robyn,
Do you recall what was on the menu in the MDR for dinner day 1? I believe we are going to do chops one night on our FOS cruise and am trying to plan a bit ahead to ensure we don't miss something we may want to eat in MDR.

We used Nativeway and had a wonderful time this last time (we have done this twice). I have a full review of our day with them and plenty of pictures if you are interested (in my signature line).
Mitsugirly how old was your daughter in these pictures? Considering taking the same excursion with my almost 4 year old but not too sure how he would do with something like this, not a lot of experience in water just yet..

Robyn, if possible could you save the cruise compasses and scan them when you return from the trip? Going on the April 12th sailing and interested to see how the days activities are planned out. Looking forward to the rest of your posts/pictures, thank you so much for taking the time to do this review! :)

My wifes daughter has a different last name than her maiden name but no father listed on the birth certificate. I'm assuming as long as we have passports, her birth cert, and our marriage cert all will be well?
We all went on a Carnival cruise last year and no docs were asked for in regards to her having a different name.

Love these pictures, my family and I will be on the June 27th cruise with you!! Maybe we'll bump into each other! One question, what days were the formal days?

According to my cruise compass from the Grandeur May 16th cruise on day 1 the Shore Excursion desk was open from 11 - 3 pm and 4 - 8 pm.
Great, thanks!

When does the shore excursion desk on the Grandeur first open on embarkation day? Want to see about getting dolphin encounter tickets since not available online and don't want to miss out.

I was on this sailing as well, so perhaps I'll add my $.02 to your question.
We did check out Adventure Ocean. My 9 and 10 year olds went the first day at sea in the morning and had a great time. They met some buddies and hung with them the rest of the cruise. My kids ASKED if they could go to AO a couple of times, too, and of course we said yes. We gave them sign in/sign out privileges because lines to pick up were LONG!
Thank you for your $.02! Do you know how the age groups are separated? I'll have a 8 and a 3 year old going and I know they will be in separate groups but wondered if it is just one big room and they will be able to see eachother? My 3 year old would be more at ease if he could see his sissy in the same room if we dropped them both off. Also, did you have them stay for any of the night time stuff?

Ahh port Canaveral. I was looking forward to this because like i said i'm a big kid. We had purchased the round trip bus ticket online prior to cruising to take us to Universal studios. The bus picked us up at 11a and we were in universal by 12. We had 7 hrs to enjoy HARRY POTTER THEME PARK! located in universal Island of Adventure. We were gone all day and was back on the boat by 8pm It was only $35 round trip, however you had to buy your park ticket once you got there. We bought ours online prior to the trip and saved a few bucks. Best day ever
Thank you for answering my questions, much appreciated. I was reading about Disney and how people were saying it wasn't worth the time to go to any of the theme parks because of the ride there, then waiting in line at the park. How busy was Universal? I'll have an 8 and 3 year old and had wanted to maybe do Universal or Disney but was worried we would be stuck in lines all day and wouldn't be able to get our money's worth. But it sounds like you had a great time, any thoughts on my situation? :o

Thank you for posting these! I had a couple of questions:
1) Did you see any shows and how would you rate them?
2) By any chance did you check out Adventure Ocean?
3) How was the staff? friendly?
4) What was your stateroom and was it noisy?
5) What did you do in Port Canaveral?
Thanks!

Did the compasses go away? I can't seem to see them anymore. Can anyone else see them or is it just me?

Greetings, Carnival cruiser here and my family and I are looking to try Royal Caribbean with our homeport being Baltimore. I casually look at prices from Baltimore and June 27th an interior will run $2300 before taxes or $710 for guests 1 and 2. We will have a total of 4 people going. My impression that this is a good price for June on Royal and from Baltimore, but I wanted to see if anyone on the boards could let me know? Normally I will look around at Carnival pricing for various ships so I don't have a gauge for what is a good price and not on Royal.
I tried searching historic prices for cruises, but all I could seem to find is groupings of cruise lines and how much prices generally are going up or down per month whether it is an inside, outside, balcony etc.
All insight is appreciated!

Nice review, I mean Clemson sucks, but hey what can ya do ;)
APRIL 6 REFUND THREAD: Have you received your refund?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
I received a letter (email) yesterday although only for one of our bookings for a cruise leaving today and two rooms. The letter states I’m being charged a penalty for canceling despite having chosen the option on both bookings for 100% refund. Hopefully just a mistake and get the full refund so I don’t have to call and wait forever to have it resolved.
