  1. We were on the Jade last month. Since we were in Venice for a day before the cruise we took the people mover from Piazza Roma to the ship. I think the people mover costs around 1.5 euros per person. It was a long walk to the ship and it was really hot. Getting on board was really easy as was the debarkation. We had a great cruise.

  2. Hi Fellow Cruisers.

Have sailed on the Norwegian Jade recently in the Eastern Med and loved it a lot. Just wondering about jumping ship to the Celebrity Silhouette for our next Med Cruise in 2015. Not so sure about Celebrity although their ships look great. Is there much difference between these cruise lines??????

    Cheers and Thanks. Bob.:):):)

We are big fans of NCL. We have never been on the Jade but we enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of NCL. You don't have to get dressed up for dinner and there are no set dining times. We have cruised on the Silhouette and it is a beautiful newer ship with set dining times. I am sure you would enjoy either cruise.

  3. We have met the captain and other crew on the Norwegian Meet and Greets. On a recent RCCL cruise someone from the cruise director's staff was there and gave out a small prize and we also got tickets to the ice show because the sign up for that was at the same time. I liked the NCL meet and greets better.

  4. Thanks for all the advice. On my cruise next month we have already ordered the low salt meals. We did that last time but my ankles still were swollen. This time I am going to bring more water and will give up coffee, tea and anything made with the ships water like juice. I am also going to try to not have drinks with ice in them. I will stick to martinis, beer and wine. Fingers crossed that it will help.
