  1. Here's our go to: http://bestbajamassage.com/

We never, ever not go to them when we stop in Ensenada and we've been going for years. Never a bad or mediocre experience. Very easy to get to...take the $2.00 van to "town" and walk across the street to McDonalds, make a right and they are on the left hand side (east side of the street) about 1/2 way down the block..

  2. A few weeks ago I noticed I had $25 inside/$50 ocean view offers for departures from Long Beach to Catalina/Ensenada. Booked a few of those. The 6/7 day cruises were available but I didn't want to use vacation time from work. I was also shown same rates for Florida ports.

At first the specials were noticeable, but after a few days I had to hunt them down.

OV cabin per person with taxes/fees, less OBC worked out to be $123.

My last cruise was just taxes/fees as it was comped through casino.

I'm getting spoiled on how little I am paying for these getaways.

  3. How much does Carnival require you to put down if you are doing cash? On HAL we are required to put down $60/pp/day which for the two of us for a 7-day is $840.

    Thank you!!

    From carnival.com FAQ:

    Cash Deposit

U.S. Currency and Traveler's Checks may be used to open your Sail & Sign Account. Once on board, please visit our Guest Services Desk who will gladly assist you in opening your account. Throughout the cruise, as you approach the deposit limit, our Guest Services Desk will notify you that additional money must be deposited.

    "Recommended" deposits per sailing duration:

2-4 day cruises: $100 USD deposit pp

5-8 day cruises: $200 USD deposit pp

9+ day cruises: $350 USD deposit pp

  4. OP: did you book via PVP or through website yourself?

This is boggling my mind. You would think a penny conscious company (with employees paid spiff/bonuses/commissions) would keep a PVP sales report. Or at least be able to pull up a general ledger or account history on a booking. There's just so many ways they should theoretically be able to track the booking.

Hope it gets resolved soon for you!

  5. We have the cabin 2 doors down booked for this year's Thanksgiving cruise. When booking it appeared as a "premium" but it is actually an extended. The cabins along this section have an extended balcony (60sf) and are an 8K

The ones tucked behind the elevators on the starboard side have an extended balcony (85sf) and the cabin is a bit bigger at 230sf, which is a 9B.

  6. Free cruises are a comp, as are the photo coupons, drinks, strawberries, fruit baskets, wine, etc.

It's not how much cash you put in, it's how much cash/credits you cycle through. I've put in $100 in a session that lasted 20 minutes. I put $20 in a session that lasted 5 hours. The casino will provide more comp points for the $20 session than the $100 session.

Based on the amount of comp points the casino creates theorticals which helps to determine how much of a theoretical loss a player will give to the casino. The better the ratio, the better the comp level.

Craps, while providing great odds for the player, earns comps at a slower rate.

I'm thinking that Ship casinos have a modified theoretical equation, but I highly doubt it's "random". There's always a method to the madness when casino profits are concerned.
