  1. Ooh - nice to see a post here!

I can add my own answers - I sailed on her last fall. I felt like we didn't do enough of the inboard activities, so I am interested in hearing what others have to say!

    1. Fav place for a drink - either the champagne bar or out on deck next to the pool. (Fav drink - probably the lava flow, I think it was called - pina colada and strawberry daquiri in layers! Mmm!)

    2. Haven't tried Quest, but just might have to on this cruise!

    3. I tried escargot for the first time (and it was pretty tasty!), and a watermelon soup that was good as well!

    4. Again - didn't try out many of the onboard things going on....

    5. Most mischevious thing - hijacking a drum set at an abandoned lounge.. being told by an elderly lady that I was "simply awful!" .. lol!

  2. Awwe - sad to see this thread losing steam. Some questions for you guys to liven things up a bit:

    1. What is your favorite spot on the Enchantment to enjoy a cocktail? (extra points - what is your favorite cocktail for cruising?)

    2. Quest: Do or don't? (I've not been yet, but hear it's fun!)

    3. What are some interesting foods you've tried on the Enchantment?

    4. Any suggestions for the activities on board? Anything from towel animal classes to the comedy show - what's fun?

    5. What's the most mischevious thing you've done aboard the Enchantment?

My boyfriend and I will be on the Enchantment on the 24th, getting really excited!!!

  3. Where is your favorite to be for sailaway? Usually we spend it on our balcony. But this time we've book a inside cabin. So now we need suggestions.

Some place with a nice view, inside or outside. A frozen drink in my hand. Leaving my everyday life behind for a week... Paradise!

Last year - we were on one of the walkways near the pool.. the bridge-y looking suspension thing. Drink was in hand, of course! We had an inside room.. so.. we had to watch from the cheap seats.. hehe! It was fun watching us leave.. in a big line with all the other ships.. *siiiiiiiiigh*.... :D

  4. Hmmm... About the lil balcony thingy... I don't think it's a huge deal, maybe just a little one, like off one of the staterooms. But, since it's NOT big, I read that no one was ever out on it. I've not seen it myself, but I read about it on a posting here and wanted to check it out this fall when I go back! I was just wondering if anyone else had seen it before, or if you all knew of any other cool little nooks n crannies on the ship :) HAHA come to think of it - maybe someone was just pullin' our legs?

  5. Helloooo? I hope this thread stays alive.. I enjoyed checking it each day.

One thing I read about the Enchantment - off the library there's a little balcony that not too many people know about. I was on the boat last year and never noticed it... I guess it's a nice quiet place that is rarely visited. Does anyone know of any other quiet nooks on the boat that may be fun to seek out?

    :)

  6. Does anyone here plan on bringing alcohol on board the Enchantment in your luggage? I did last year with no problem. I usually bring some wine and jager so I can have some drinks on the balcony. Also just wondering if they have become any stricter since last year....

Yep - I brought on a few bottles of wine last year, and a fifth of vodka and they never said a word. Wrapped them in hand towels and put them into the "dirty laundry" bag in my suitcase, in case they were broken during the flight. We had our stuff in plain view of our room attendant, and she never said a word. I plan on doing the same this year... if they take it, they take it, I guess. My advice is to just not take anything you're not willing to part with (like a REALLy nice bottle of wine, etc.) in case they remove it. I thought the vodka mixed well with the lemonade and juice that you can get on board :) I think this year I'll probably bring a few cans of soda, too. I'm not sure if they've tightened up on the alcohol smuggling since last year...

  7. if it will help any, refer to post 83.. the room numbers will only vary by the first number which is of course the deck booked.. hope that helps:)

Thanks so much! Looks like I missed the new room by being about a dozen rooms down. Oh well! The old ones aren't bad at all.. was just thinking a change of scenery might be fun. Thanks for all the great info!

Also - if there are any divers going on the 9/24 cruise on EOS, I wouldn't mind some tips.. We are porting in Belize and Cozumel (and Key West, of course - but not enough time to dive there probably). I'm a little wet behind the ears (no pun intended) as I'm doing my open water check-out in about a week. Any advice/hints for first-time a first time diver would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)
