How dressed up do people get on sea days, during the day. Are jeans ok, or are people more dressed?

We are taking the Silversea Whisper on its Aug 27th sailing from Stockholm to St. Petersburg and ending in Southhampton. We are wondering what is appropriate to wear to dinner on non-formal nights, and to La Terrazza.

Is there a daytime dress code? Are jeans and sneakers ok for daytime?

If it is raining, does the ship have umbrellas for passengers to take on excursions?
