  1. Every time you break a journey, it is no longer part of the rules from the first leg. So it is valid that your continue journey is subject to baggage fee. If you don't have the stopover, then the bags will be checked all the way to Barcelona, and no extra charge is expected because of the first leg is Business Class.

Yes, every airline has different meaning on the economy tiers. Some call the lowest Basic, some call it Standard. It is not who issues the tickets, it is who flies you there.

This is only the second time I have posted on Cruise Critic and rude comments seem to be the norm and Cruise Critic appear to accept these characters

Please calm down yourself first, and others will respect you. Your input shows that you are very upset.

To clarify, the total price of a cruise consists of three components: basic cruise fare, non commissionable cruise fare (likely overhead), and government taxes. Only the first component relates directly to the cruise vacation, and to a certain extend, the taxes (includes port charges). Because the port charges are usually small by the person, cruise line don't usually refund it.

I had one weather related delay years ago. The ship could not dock until one day later. We missed one day onboard, we got back US$50 on board credit. We did not make a big issue out of it and we enjoyed the sailing.

Also, UK may have a different compensation than North America.

Feel free to wait - but my link is to the official Celebrity info site for travel agents. Check the URL - www.rccl.com .

Also, it doesn't start until October 3 (or October 10), so clearly they wouldn't post it on the "public" site before that date.

I totally agreed. Unless Celebrity has a change of heart, this time is for real, as I have signed up for the Agent Breaking News Webinar.

Better $14 CAD than $14 USD, I suppose. Between cuts in service and cash grabs like this, our future with Celebrity is increasingly in question. We have two booked now, one too late to cancel, but I'm seriously reconsidering the second one.

I agree. I have two booked, but will consider moving to luxury where you get more inclusive items.

Any booking or any NEW booking? Also, it that $14 per cabin per day or per BP holder per day? I'm thinking of one adult with BP sharing a cabin with a minor child versus two adults with BP. In the parent/child scenario, would it only be $7.00?

It will be any new booking (or re-fare) on or after Oct 10, 2019. Increased cruise fare (instead of gratuity) is per package per day. Note I am in Canada, I assume the $14 is CAD. For US and other countries, the increase may be different. Details has yet to be released publicly.

  6. Just to be fair, most TAs are very competent and know what they are doing. One may hit a few new ones who may not have the knowledge, or "very busy" ones who may not have the time for their customers.

Cruise fares are always sold at the price published by cruise lines. Agencies can sell pre-negotiated group fare. This is regulated in Canada. Any additional "discount", perks, come directly from the Agency / Agent. The more perks you get, the less commission they retain. This may translate into service. Of course, there are exceptions.

A good agent is your personal concierge without additional charge. So don't try to take commissions out of his or her wallet.

I could be wrong but it sounds to me that they have 2 cabins, one where the move up has been accepted with the other cabin still being pending.  They are looking to cancel the request for the cabin still pending so that they do not get another partially obstructed ov.

That's how I interpret the question. It did say "inside cabins".

So there is no soap, shampoo, and conditioner in Aqua cabins?? It is not checked off on the info in the link.

We just sailed in the Aqua cabin. Love the Blu restaurant. The food and service are way better than the main dining room.

There are two bars of soap, one bottle each of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower gel.

I can't find the extra hair dryer, but one is enough for us. You can choose sparking, white or red wine. Just let your cabin attendant know.

The cabin size for the A1 / A2 on the M class is larger, but just slightly, may not be noticeable.

Check the price constantly especially closer to sailing. Inventory seems to exceed demand on Alaska cruises lately.

  9. Many booking sites start to put in options to show different fare categories. It will be nice if Royal / Celebrity has this option for us to choose. With their IT department, it may take 10 years.....

  10. I had a different experience. When I called last year to inquire about an one-way fare to Europe, the rep told me that the price is the lowest possible price and hence the luggage fee may apply. Unfortunately there is no way to confirm any additional charge until it is too late. The link is only as good as the information they put in (and remember this is Celebrity).

This gives me a good reason to start flying Premium Economy Class 😁

  11. It really depends on the knowledge level of the rep. I booked the Premium Economy to fly from Toronto to Honolulu for my April 29 cruise. The first time I called the rep told me I could not select any seats until ticketed. So I request ticketing. After a few days, I still cannot find my booking from AA site, so I called again. This time the rep told me he could select the seats for me. I grabbed the last dual seats in the PE class.

  12. It does not matter who book the cruise. As long as the dining arrangements are the same (i.e. both are fixed time early, or late), then Celebrity can link them. Ask the TA to contact Celebrity's Agent Desk to link as the TA will not be able to see the Celebrity booking.
