  1. I've thoroughly enjoyed your day by day. We sail in January San Juan to Barbados.

Would anyone know which pier it will dock in in San Juan? That information seems impossible to come by!

Can restaurant reservations be made ahead of time? Must you call that in?

    Thank you!

  2. I was there on November 2 and it wasn't crowded at all - barely any kids (in fact, I can't recall seeing any). Food was delicious, drinks were ok. Beer was cold. Water was nice. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable day. We were on Harmony and spoke with people on Escape and Carnival Glory and Vision of the Seas. So there were a bunch of ships in port but not crowded.

  3. lots and lots of umbrellas. I actually like it without the cabanas - more room. MikeBTN is right - sometimes wind picks up so umbrellas are closed. The one thing I miss from previous vibes is the cover over the hot tubs. It gets hotter than a regular hot tub with the sun beaming down.

  4. I just got off of Escape on the 8/20 sailing. We were scheduled for the 7:00 showing of For the Record. My plan was to wait in line at Splash Academy to drop off my daughter when it opened at 7 and then sprint to the show figuring I'd miss a few minutes. I showed up at Splash at 6:45 with my daughter to wait and it was open - bunch of kids dropped off already. So while I can't say it this happens all the time, I dropped her off at 6:45 and was on time for my show. Happened another night when I just dropped her off at 6:50. So seemed like they're closed, but not closed!

My experience for what it's worth.

  5. I went to the tortola info desk in one of the shops, and ended up chartering a boat (captain was Rudy)

It was $50 pp (he needs at least 8 to make it work. We had 11).

We got to Jost before Rebel Yell and they left before us (but made it back to the ship later). They must go somewhere else. They only were at Jost for about an hour.

We had a 4 hour round trip and made it back a full hour before sail away.

There are 2 groups at jost on rebel yell. So the first group they take back had at least 3 hours there. They drop off and come back for second group. I was in the 9:15 and got back to ship at 2:30. We flew on the cat on the way back. There's a 7 am excursion too.

  6. Hi neighbor!! We did love our minisuite. Loved that secret hall and Randy in between us!! We had a great sailing. Tell Jerome we had tallywackers at paradise point. No bushwackers in honor of you!! My little one totally thought you were famous. Every time she'd see you in the hall she's say "there he IS!!!!" Lol. Loving your review. Oh and I was in vibe. Not the best crowd. Some were awesome. Some were entitled know it allis. Yuck. But I love Rommel so that made it worth it.
