  1. It just occurred to me for this problem...

Would it work, at least a bit, to bring along a small baggie with a couple of tablespoons (+/-) of baking soda, and let it dissolve in the first pot and just sit there a while?

No I do not recommend that. You definitely do not want to get questioned about a baggie with a few tablespoons of white powder in your luggage. There is a good chance they would not believe it was baking soda.

  2. Is the lagoon at GSC reserved for haven/suite passengers, or can anyone go,there. Also, does anyone know where to get an updated copy of a map for GSC because the one on NCL looks outdated (still showing hippo slide which is no longer available.)

    Thanks

  3. In December, we were able to get two at a time on UBP... I think it was because the lines were so long!

Standing on line in that heat is no fun. Do they still have the waiters that come around? I remember waiters coming around taking drink orders but can't remember if it was GSC or carnivals private island.

  4. I have a question regarding the gem main pool with the waterslide. I know that the depth is 5'9" at the end of the pool, but I wanted to know if there is a shallower part that is less than 5 ft. Since this is the pool that most of the older kids use, I am hoping that there is at least some part of the pool to stand in for nonswimmers. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

  5. My dad took his first cruise on NCL Jewel when he was 81. It only took me decades to convince him the cruise ships were nothing like the steamer ships he took when he came to the US. What was he most impressed with?......... that there were bathrooms and showers in each cabin because apparently when you sailed third class or steerage or whatever they called it back then, bathrooms were shared:eek:

No age is too old for cruising!

  6. There are a series of large square shaped interior staterooms on the upper deck of Splendor that do not appear anywhere else on the ship. Staterooms numbered 6287 to 6307 are square shaped and look to be much bigger than the other interior rooms. However, they are listed in the same square footage/category as the other interiors on this deck.

Also, I did not notice rooms in this location on the other decks. If you go up to deck 7 or 8, there are no rooms at all in this location, it is just blank space on the deck plan.

Does anyone have pics or info about these rooms? We need to quickly change a room with 4 into two interiors and these look great on the deck plan, but might not look great upon boarding.

    Thanks.
