Perfect information! I am going to sail on the Star April 8th out of LA. Is LAX the best airport to fly into? Do you think the prices will come down? Did you get massages at any of the ports?

If you can fly Jet Blue, it goes to Long Beach airport, which is very small and easy to get though and is also much closer to the port. If not, LAX is probably best.

Anyone know where the bulletin board is on Radiance?

New to cruising, too - a spur of the moment decision a few weeks ago after a long day at work. I've always wanted to cruise to Alaska, and suddenly a little voice in my head said, "well, do it!" :D

I've really been enjoying all the Cruise Critic threads, love hearing everyone's advice and experiences and stories. And it was a pleasure to find this one - I've been a little afraid that I would meet only straight couples, so it's great to know that there are some "sisters" around!

Mithryl, looking to meet any cruisers, not just single. Describing myself as single was just information - I am most definitely not on this cruise to "cruise"!

GillCC - when and where are you going? I'm on Radiance of the Seas NB to Alaska, 8/24/07 (6 weeks and 3 days, but who's counting....). 51, traveling solo.
