Bummer. RCL has a NASA tour on the way to the airport. That would be a really good option.
Definitely! We are used to RCL having things like this. Apparently not a thing on NCL.

Our flight doesn’t leave IAH until 7PM after our Galveston cruise. Unfortunately they cannot be changed to an earlier flight. We will not have a car. Usually cruise lines have post cruise tours, but NCL doesn’t this time. Anyone have any suggestions?

As for the original poster - there is no escape room on Allure. It was supposed to have one, but never got the upgrade. For the ships that have them, they will show up on the app (after you board) and (at least before the pandemic) it was $20pp to sign up. You had to sign up as soon as they became available because they sold out pretty quickly. However, usually, there are several times throughout the week (or however long your cruise is).
thank you! I am not an inexperienced cruiser so I was super confused on why we couldn’t find the escape room on the allure. It was on the signs. I just thought that I was stupid and couldn’t find it.thanks for all the info!

I was previously on the allure and am currently booked for the oasis. I never saw reservations available for the one on the allure and it’s not in my planner for the oasis. Am I just too late and it’s already sold out?

Forgot to mention. Carnival has the best dessert EVER - chocolate molten lava cake.
CG
My favorite Carnival dessert is their bread pudding. They actually gave us the recipe once, but it's for like 1500 servings!! LOL

It's been years since I went on Carnival, but I did like the food in the MDR better on Royal, but I have to say I haven't been impressed with MDR food on RCL lately either. IMO there are far fewer rowdy children on RCL.
However, I did like the late night food options (Guy's burgers, etc) better on Carnival and their on deck movies were good as well. I don't like watching the movies in the aqua theater. I prefer Carnival's screens on the pool deck where you can sit in a lounger with a blanket and (free) popcorn.

We were on Symphony in December and noticed the quality and quantity of trivia games was low. In August I was on the Quantum and there was a lot of trivia activities and it was actually really fun. We're not concerned about the The same for the cruise before that. Has anyone noticed if this was ship specific or has it changed fleetwide? All in all not a huge deal, but trivia is usually a favorite activity of ours on cruises.

Well then, you probably handled it much better than I would have!
We were thrilled. Our cabin attendant was confused bc he had to bring all our papers and luggage from the original room though.

We didn't mind. We were upgraded to a large Oceanview balcony from an outside room with royal up. It was just startling to be in the check in line and pull up out set sail pass and it be totally different from what we put on our luggage. Lol

One cruise our room was changed literally as we were standing in line to board the ship.

Did anyone else notice there isn't a roll call forum for the Odyssey?

You would know you are on MTD if you had the ability to make MTD reservations under the dining tab.
Ok. I thought I did have MTD, but couldn't make reservations. That must be why!
-
Thanks! It's not that big of a deal. I dont understand why they took away that information. Wouldnt a person need to know to make MTD reservations?

I was waitisted for early dining. My TA told me that I had gotten the early seating, but I can't find it anywhere on the website. Anyone know where you can view dining assignments?

I much prefer traditional. You get to know your waiter and tablemates. By the 2nd night the waitstaff know your names and what you want to drink and little touches. Makes the cruising experience so much more special to me.

Maybe I should have clarified a little further, the notarized letter is from the grandmother giving dw guardianship we have the court order giving grandmother custody. The court order I was referring to needing to get is permission from court to take kids out of country since that is pretty much the route we would have to take. But I do appreciate all your replies was just hoping someone on here would have had a similar experience.
I would bring a copy of the court order giving grandma legal custody along with a notorized letter giving you and your wife permission for medical decisions, travel, and participation.

Thanks! Do you remember which day it was first offered?
I think it was Wednesday on the Oct 7 sailing.

I was on harmony last week too and there were much fewer than I thought. Last week was fall break here in tn and usually there's a ton of teens.

Ours are no longer reserved. I'm not pleased.

I'd "spread " first before he got a chance!

We go to mr. sancho's anythime were in Cozumel.

Rcl doesn't have self serve laundry.

If 3 of you show up to MTD, then that's how you'll be seated. They won't put others at your table.
Not true. You can definitely share with MTD I'd you want to.

Just my opinion based on my experience, but in over 26 years of cruising we never have experienced any noise in our staterooms that required ear plugs or any other type of noise canceling device. If you don't use them at home I doubt you'll need them on a ship. Besides, I couldn't sleep comfortably with headphones on my head!
I can kick my husband out of the room at home, but on the cruise I have to put up with him.
I just invested in a pair of earphones called bed phones. They're made for sleeping on.

How are you going to check your bags that early?
