  1. .... It is around $55 a day and it covers everything with no limits as far as price or certain beverages it can not be used for. So word to the wise get with some of these cruise critic members and start planning a group cruise for the future! It definately has it's perks booking as a group!

Not really that much of a perk.

Unless you drink at least 7 drinks per day, every day, you don't even break even. That includes port days, where you might not even be on the ship much before dinner time.

Basically if cost is really an issue, buying a set of Rum Runners is still your best bet.

  2. Hi Everyone.

Sorry it took so long to post back. Thank you for your replies!

Since the recipe is so good I filled out the proper paperwork last night. Just to be safe, I Patented, Copyrighted and Trademarked it. So anyone who tries the recipe officially agrees to take me on their next cruise!! :)

  3. Are you allowed to put liquor in your checked luggage when flying? I would certainly wrap it in bubble wrap, but wasn't sure if it was allowed (within the U.S.).

    Yes.

Just not in your carry-on luggage. From the TSA web site ( http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/assistant/editorial_1189.shtm )

Carrying Alcohol In Your Checked Baggage

Please note, you can’t take alcoholic beverages with more than 70% alcohol content (140 proof), including 95% grain alcohol and 150 proof rum, in your checked luggage.

You may take up to five liters of alcohol with alcohol content between 24% and 70% per person as checked luggage if it’s packaged in a sealable bottle or flask.

Alcoholic beverages with less than 24% alcohol content are not subject to hazardous materials regulations.

  4. Just add tequila to the lemonade for a great poor mans margarita.

I'll second this suggestion... "hypothetically" of course!

Keep in mind that regular lemonade is more watery (less sour) than bartenders "Sour Mix". Adding a just little powdered limeade to the lemonade gives it just the right taste. Using a clear tequilla also keeps the color pretty correct for your average plastic 1 liter bottle of Minute Maid.
