Hire a private driver to take you amy place you please. If you wish to see sloth before you snorkle.. do that.

Or Daniels is said to be doing snorkel boats these days. I have no idea if they have a boat or boats large enough for your party.

Me?  I would skip the sloth all together ( due to them not being native to Roatan)  and go on an amazing adventure with Free Radical. Roatan is ALL about the reef.

I would agree with you but i have several of the kids really wanting to do the sloths so it has to be part of the trip.  I would rather do a combo if possible instead of dividing it up.  I found Roatan Snorkeling Tours has an option to add on the monkey/sloths, anyone have experience with them?  they have good reviews on FB and TA.

  2. Hello,

Me and my family (4 total)  are looking for the best way to get from Hyatt place downtown to pier 91 the morning on the cruise.

I was planning on Uber XL but i have read a few place that rideshares cannot drop you right at the pier.  Anybody with experience know the story on this?

If not what are some other good options?  I got a price from a local company and it would be $65 for the trip in an SUV, seems like way too high for this trip since the uberxl estimate is under $20.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

My sons are 10 and 8. There is a pull out couch bed and they brought a rollaway bed. The rollaway is small but perfect for a kid. The rollaway was set up between the dinning table and the couch. Plenty of room and during the day they move it out of the way. The only issue was the postion of the TV in the living room. It kinda points at the balcony and it wouldn't swivel, so the kid on the rollaway can't see it.

The ouside table is plenty big enough for 4 to eat, but we ended up eating in the room because it was kinda cold.

Laundry was super easy. There is a form and bag, the form has a red "complementary" stamped on it. The room steward took it and it was back that evening and hung up in the closet.

Full suite breakfast is in the crown grill every morning at 730. It's amazing. The first night you can go-to the crown grill or share. We went to the crown grill. We just showed up when we wanted to eat and they seated us. It was good.

Room service was easy, just order what you want.

Suite boarding, when you get to the terminal there is a special line, follow the signs. We got there at 1130 And didn't even have time to get a drink in the suite lounge. We were sitting in club class lunch at 1145.

For you kids there is a wonderfull park right next to the space needle , it has a bunch of things to climb on. We ended up waiting for our flight there and it was much nicer than the airport.

Thanks so much for such a detailed response and answering my questions.

  5. Thanks for posting this.  we are going in August with our 2 kids (age 6 and 😎 in A752.

Can i ask how old the kids are and what were the sleeping arrangements in the owners suite for them?

Also on the balcony was there a table for 4 where you could all eat room service or only for 2?

Lastly i've read a lot of posts on here but any specific things to consider making the most of the suite services on the ruby?

I know you mentioned club class and suite breakfast and i know those are big.  how smoothly did the laundry work?

This is our first suite experience on Princess.

    Thanks!

  6. Wow some 'interesting' responses on this thread. With our little ones we always picked trips/excursions where we were sure to have the correct restraints. On planes we had them in car seats until they were tall enough and have been on a few cruises where we brought car seats/boosters on board and used them at one or more ports. We invested in a cosco scenera car seat a few years ago because its light and narrow to travel with on planes or on cruises. Getting it on and off the ship is easy, we put in a garbage bag and stick a luggage tag on it. We store it in the shower or closet floor. It is a little annoying getting off the ports and bringing it but worth it IMO. And as long as the car/bus has a seat belt the car seat/booster can be correctly installed.

  7. The first NE/Canada AOS of the season is coming back tomorrow so you might get some answers after those passengers get back. I am going the end of July so assuming weather will be nice.

you should join the adventure of the seas facebook page if you haven't already. there are passengers currently on that are posting. Also would think some would post the compasses when they get back and settled.

  8. Thanks so much for all the info so far. Maybe the suite only breakfast was the reason for the two different answers we got about if the dining was the same or not

Does anyone know about the priority embarkation? I’ve never had that on princess...would it be the same for the OS and the club class? Not a deal breaker just wanted to be aware

  9. Planning Alaskan cruise on the ruby and me and the kids are going to be in an owners suite and I am traveling with another couple that is looking to book a club class mini.

I’m assuming since we both will have club class dining we can sit together there for breakfast and dinner? There are no separate areas in the club class for full suites and mini that have access are there?

Also we both will have priority embarkation and disembark...will that be the same or are there different priority for mini club and full suite? The club class says priority and the full suite says vip priority..is there a difference?

Other than that is seems like we will get a little more like minibar, thermal suite, laundry..but just want to make sure we will have same experience other than that..

    Are we missing anything?

This other couple called princess twice and got two different answers about the dining..any help would be great...thanks

  10. Thanks! I'm looking at Alaska 2019 and it will be a balcony. Trying to decide between Princess and Hal as both have the itinerary I am looking for and both are close in price. Just trying to find something to sway me one way or the other

Funny I am also considering Alaska summer of 2019 Princess vs HAL. Pretty set on princess at this point and was going to book now and can always cancel/switch if any promos pop up. Also i know often promos are for new bookings only and the new booking price increase between now and when the promo shows up can be more than the promo savings.

  11. When looking at the online deck plans use the dropbox labelled Guests to change the number of guests from Any to 4.

So aside from the forward Family Suites, the full suites that sleep four on Ruby are the Vista suites on Emerald and Dolphin decks and the Owners suites on Aloha deck.

I have seen the Owners suite on another ship and believe it had two sofa beds. Don't think there would be room for two in the Vista suites so I have no idea how the fourth person is accommodated.

(If you are not familiar with the Family suites, they hold up to 8 people: one queen bed, two twin beds, two single sofa beds and two uppers. But the first four pax all pay full rate)

Thanks i see that drop down menu, that's what i was missing.

The Vista suite does seem like it might be a little tight for us, so i think OS is the way to go.

  12. Was hoping for some help from the experts. looking at Alaska cruise on the Ruby with my wife, son (7) and daughter (5).

Looking at the suites on the princess site and they don't have a lot of details with the layouts of different ones like other lines do. and the sleeping arrangements are kind of confusing.

For example in the owners suite its does one sleep on the sofa bed and one on a roll away?

It seems like penthouse can't sleep 4 because if i try to book with 3 it works and with 4 doesn't.

Is there any easy way to see which rooms sleep 3 and which sleeps 4, i can't seem to find that.

On other lines deck plans i would be able to see that easily, maybe i'm missing something.

    Thanks.

  13. And there are the slightly obstructed views that book as a 7 (used to bill as a cat 5 or 6 depending on deck). We stayed in one of these' date=' and I probably wouldn't have noticed the "obstruction" if I didn't know to look for it! It was a small piece of metal protruding from the ship an did not interfere with my enjoyment at all. Regardless, this is still a good upgrade for OP, and I think they have the navigator's verandah because they said they have connecting cabins.[/quote']

Yes they are definitely the navigator balconies. they seem interesting to me and would be nice to try something new. we have had other regular balconies on other lines before. also it is a Canada/NE cruise so having the sheltered balcony might not be so bad since it won't be the warmest...

  14. First time on Disney and had booked this cruise about a year ago and we were in ocean view connecting rooms midship on 2nd floor.

got a call from my TA today that because of maintence they are upgrading us to connecting balconys on deck 6. On the surface sounded great but checking the deck plans rooms 6140 and 6142 are all the way towards back of ship and navigator balconys..

Been on other lines in regular balcony rooms. Checked YouTube for these navigator bals and they seemed kind of odd.

So those that are familiar with these rooms are they really an upgrade from what I had? We are a little concerned about not being midship. Can they really just move me weeks before like this? Should I be asking more forcefully for compensation or better upgrade?

I asked my ta to try to get me midship bals and they said these were the only ones they could get connecting at this time.

Been on ncl, celebrity, princess many times have never had this happen to me before

    Thanks

  15. My wife and I are in our late 30s and have been on a few ncl, x and princess cruises. We often do ncl cause of casino deals and also options leaving from nyc.

I think your comparison it spot on. People just need to realize what's important to them and know what to expect.

We really like the bright/loud colors on ncl. But think the food/service is better/higher end on celebrity.

We are going on summit next week and was really debating between that and breakaway. Overall like the celebrity experience better and price was close and less addons since we end up going to specialty rests on ncl and don't feel the need to on X

Just wish celebrity would have more nyc options/newer ships here

  16. was having the same problems where i did all the steps and can print the pass but still was saying 50%.

so I called and celebrity said that it is a known computer issue they are trying to fix.

told me that as long as you can print the xpress pass then you are checked in.

  17. Here is a link to 2014 ctn thread with dailies

I was on the Jan 2015 one earlier this year and I had checked these out before our trip and the actual ones were very similar to this with some tweaks.

I don't remember seeing any posting the ones from last season.

This is from almost 2 years ago and hard to say what this one will be as the other poster mentioned and also since this is one and only ctn this season.
