  1. We stayed in 1401 one cruise. It was the only cruise that we allowed the cruise line to pick our cabin for us, and let me tell you we will never allow for that again. We were told it was the thrusters that were making our room vibrate all night long. We wound up getting a future cruise credit 25% off our next cruise up to six days in length. Of course our next cruise was a seven day and we were not able to use it before it expired.

  2. ok, so maybe depends on ship or they have changes their policy.  I was hoping to buy some wine/liquor in MX, then have it for our Alaska cruise which is the 2nd portion.  I am not planning on buying it on the ship, but in port.  Might be hit or miss.

One way around it would be if you have somebody sailing with you on the first portion have them claim it on their last night, and just give it to you. And you can just keep it in your room for the second portion of the cruise. You can also try this if you meet some really nice people on the ship and explain the situation.

After we left this reception we went over to the elevators. We hadn't decided to get on them just yet, but my DS did. I looked back just in time to see the glass doors shut with my DS in the elevator! I waited to see which direction the elevator was headed and bounded down the floors waiting to see where it stopped. Fortunately it only went 2 floors before I caught up with him. He was crying, but safe.

OMG I just read this to my dd who is now 9 and getting ready for her 4th cruise. I asked her if she remembered happening to her on her first cruise. Not only did she, but told me that the elevator took her from snowman (8) down to hockey stick (7) and she was amazed that I was there when the doors opened. Man I flew down that staircase

  4. Hubby and I were on our honeymoon on the Grand Princess. Everywhere we went we seemed to come across a woman who knew everything about anything.

On our tender back from Cayman she happened to be on our boat. I had purchasd a stuffed toucan for our daughter, and proclaimed to my husband that he would be named "Jimmy" (we had just spent a few hours at Margaritaville)

Well, this woman went off òn me. `You can`t name him Jimmy, Jimmy Buffet is a Parrot head and that is Toucan` I looked at her and said `They are both birds, whats the difference` Well she informed me that one has 3 talons on their feet and he other has 4, and they eat different foods.

To which I informed her that wouldnt be a problem, as this bird wouldnt be eating anything as it is STUFFED.

Every one around us laughed and applauded.

To this day we still laugh about crazy bird lady when we look at `Jimmy:D
