  1. I paid the 5.00 upcharge for the "JUMBO" crab cake.  I was disappointed.  They need to take the jumbo word off the menu.  There should not be an upcharge for it either.  It was about the size of an Oreo cookie and not as tasty as what we get along the Gulf coast.

True its 6 months but really active Aug, Sept, Oct.  Peak hurricane season is Sept 1 and Dorian is proving that.  This time of year there is ALWAYS a storm brewing out there.  Not always true for June, July, and November.  Booking a Caribbean cruise the first week of September is definitely risky.

Typically The hurricanes tthat have hit the Houston-Galveston area and I just don't plan a cruise at that time.  I would not want to plan a cruise at that time after what we experienced afterwards.  I still have 10 months in which I can plan.  But that's just me.  I just never want to go through all that again

    Why book in hurricane season?

Exactly!  I live close to Galveston.  I would never book a cruise in hurricane season.  I want to be able to secure my house if one should hit my area.  During hurricane Ike I prepared around my house and yard as well as I could and then evacuated with my pets.  The ships coming back to Galveston went  to another port.  As for the  people whose cars were in the parking lots around the cruise terminal found their cars completely flooded.

  4. Do you need a prescription to buy retin-a in Spain? Does anyone know the cost?

I go to the border town of Nuevo Progresso which is across from Weslaco, Texas in the Rio Grande valley. It is a very safe border town. You can get Retin-A or the generic there. I used Retin-A for years with no problems. Yes, I had a little peeling, but that is normal with the medication. I am 79 and still get compliments on my complexion. There are a lot of people shopping there, especially in the winter when the "winter Texans" are escaping the cold weather in the northern states. They spend the day shopping, getting dental work, getting their prescriptions for the year, getting manicures and pedicures and and eating and drinking and just having a good time. I have a friend who has a house in Mission, Texas in a 55 and over gated community. There are a lot of people there that keep homes for the winter months. We go once a month and always cross the border with no problem.

  5. I just got off the Epic Sunday. We had a corner aft (9290). We liked it. It was quiet, the view was great and our cabin steward Ketut was great. The only downside is that it is a long walk to the Garden Cafe, but that could be good as I did not gain as much weight as I thought I would. The Manhattan dining room was close as was the casino and Cagneys. What everyone says about the bathroom situation is true. In my opinion the cabins are very poorly laid out. Overall the cruise was wonderful.
