On 7/9/20 Norway/Iceland cruise on the Island, with $1000 OBC from Landmark Sale. I know I can use it for gratuities, but only for excursions that are booked on the ship, not ahead--- is this correct? thanks!

We were on the ME a few weeks ago. Hair dryer provided, toiletries were there and replenished, safe and fridge in closet, water provided in room daily, you need a 2 rounded prong adapter, but there was one plug we were able to recharge phone with w/o it. We loved having daily schedule and menu on the mirror mounted tv daily, but they gave you paper copy also. Other than water levels, which you can’t control [emoji51] it was a great week- enjoy!!!

When we left Bratislava by boat last Saturday there were 10 river boats piled up that couldn’t go any further

That's why I think the Vilshofen to Budapest itinerary makes the most sense: no surprises when water levels get low. [same thing for Rhone cruises: Lyon to Arles is reliable, try to sail up the Saône to Macon or Chalon and you're looking for trouble.]
We did Vilshofen to Budapest on Gate 1 last week. We had to get off the boat at Bratislava and we’re bussed to Budapest from there. Guess you have to be flexible when things like this happen that are beyond your control. Gate 1 provided some nice perks and tried very hard to make our extra time in Budapest great!

It is good for 5 years. We had our interview in DC- open Saturdays, and we were visiting our son down there.Peregrina, thank you for the info on Global Entry. I'd heard of it, but didn't know any of the details. I may look into it. Right now I only travel oversees once a year or every other year, but that may change when I (hopefully) retire in a few years.Roz

We had great luck with Uber- from airport to Total Wine ( lol ) to port, etc--- cheap, clean and very efficient. Just FYI- they have to wait outside pier area until they get a ride, but then it only took a few minutes to get to pier 29

We took an Uber from the pier to Las Olas Blvd and stayed there until around 4:00, then went to airport for our 7 pm flight. There were many galleries, restaurants and shops open. We had a nice long lunch-- better than sitting in the airport!

They're strict with this- we had 6 bottles and we had to show the scanner guy our invoice to prove that we had 3 cabins.... :/

Uber gives you the name of the driver and the make/color and license of their car, so you stand outside and wait wherever you told him/her you'd be. They will call and confirm if there are any questions.

We had 5 and we used 2 Ubers from airport to PE-- don't use a taxi. (we were forced to use one in upstate NY, which doesn't have Uber, and it was 3x more...). Uber drivers are waiting nearby airport and the pier when you return, and they come very quickly

We paid our kids' gratuities, and ours, before we went. We had our travel agent do it-- I know they have your $ early, but nice to not see that huge amount on your bill at the end. I like that you can check your account on your tv daily now. Your choice to give steward, waiters anything additional at the end.
I had the refreshment pkg- soda, coffee drinks, water, oj-- if you get at a bar they will often run a slip-- it says zero, but has room for a tip- which you have already really paid. VERY few bar pool attendants seen- easier to go to bar yourself.
We just got off the Freedom on Sunday. Back to reality.....

Jimmies or sprinkles-- either way there were none! Our family wished it would have been open later too...

What about seltzer? Are they that specific on what they allow/don't allow? Thank you!

Another quick ?-- how many bags can we do with the valet, per person? We will have 2 checkable bags, and a rolling carryon- would like to check all 3 of them through to home. Not sure how much that would be then, but just know I don't want to lug them around Ft. L all day! Thank you!!!
-
$25 a person, and no line at the airport!
Thank you!

Can someone tell me how much the luggage valet service is? I've used it, but on other cruise lines. Debating that vs. BagsToGo storage at the airport, due to our late flight time. Thank you! :)
