  1. Can anyone update us on the Regatta engine problems I read that the ship had the trustees replaced in Miami on May 6th. But she is still either missing ports or arriving late quite often. I noticed Regatta left San Francisco 24 hours late yesterday and is missing a port again today. Bit worried about our Summer cruise to Alaska. Is there anyone on board that could help with this issue - it would be appreciated.

  2. Does anyone on board have updates regarding the propulsion pod problem QM2 is having in the Caribbean this week. We are sailing on her next Wednesday. Can she still cross the Atlantic with one less pod. I seem to remember she has in the past..

  3. Totally agree note that the true high end cruise lines have gone country club casual all the time.

In today's society formal is pretty much passé so why keep it alive on a cruise ship. To me it is just a waste of luggage space.

Thankyou everyone for all your input. After reading all the messages it does sound like the majority of passengers sailing to Bermuda do NOT wear jackets on formal nights.

  4. Yeah, that's why they call it "Formal" night?

I would, at the minimum, go with the dress pants, shirt, and tie, but since you are driving to the port, I would strongly recommend a jacket if you have one. You certainly don't have the excuse others use as to weight limitations when flying.

    Just my 2 cents. ;)

We certainly have formal wear - I am a diamond member with Cunard which is very formal line. I have been reading more and more that Celebrity is very casual these day's with very few passengers wearing formal clothing at dinner. After reading these reviews I am still not sure - sounds like a mixed bag.

  5. We have 8 family members cruising to Bermuda next month on Summit. Age range from 8-74 years old. Is it acceptable on formal nights to wear a long sleeve dress shirt - tie - dress pants but no jacket for the children and grown men. Trying to keep the luggage to a minimum.
