  1. Hoping I made a good choice I just booked Mr. Sanchos for our cruise on the Pearl that leaves Feb. 3. We are doing the all inclusive. Did I make a good choice? Also was wondering what I need to rake in my day bag? Water shoes, money, just not for sure.

  2. Here is an email I got directly from the charter.

Hello Brandy. As a NCL guest you will be able to see some of the shows that are general admission, but you will not have access to the majority of the charter events. The regular programing of the ship will remain largely uninterrupted as we have only purchased a little under half of the cabins. I hope this information is helpful, have a great day!

  3. I believe your information conflicts with my experiences. I have sailed on a few partial charters and have NEVER been excluded from any of the regularly scheduled events.

Thank you Swedish Weave and all the others. I'm hoping our experience will vid a good one and I'm sure it will be. Just nice to be on vacation and make it what it is.

  4. My husband booked this cruise for us, a short getaway without the children, not knowing it was a partial charter. I called NCL and was assured that everything is the same as far as entertainment, just some of the venues will be private. I'm expecting to have a great time, and hoping to hear some of the music near the pool.

We booked this for the same reason. So glad the entertainment will be the same was kind of worried. It will be nice to have a getaway with no kids! So looking forward to a break I have 3 kids of my own plus I so daycare.

  5. I am sailing on the Pearl February 3-7 and found out that it is partially chartered for a bluegrass event. Has anyone ever been on a partially chartered cruise? Was wondering what to expect. Will the entertainment be the same, same food, just will it ruin my experience. TIA

  6. I read on my roll call the cruise from February 3-7 is a chartered cruise something about bluegrass music. I have no idea how it works. Didn't know about it till after I read the boards. Seems like ncl would have let me know but they didn't. I don't care though a vacation is a vacation.

  7. Thank you so much for all the info. We are so excited to be going on the pearl. We leave Feb. 3 but after we booked through NCL we realized it is half charter and half not. Never have been on a cruise like that I just hope it doesn't mess anything up for us non-charter people. It will be just nice to get away for a little bit with no kids.

  8. Any information would be helpful, dailies, have menus changed, how was your experience, entertainment, casino, beverage package or not. I will be sailing Feb. 3 on a 4 night cruise on the Pearl. The other 2 ships I have been on are the Star and Majesty. How is the pearl different, TIA :)
