I called NCL about this last week and was told it's too far out from my cruise for that option to be available.

i was able to do it last week, but then i had to change it back to the original dates and it needed extra approval and i got a lecture about not doing it again. <rolls eyes>

thanks and I will. i'm already obsessed with this trip because I spent a lot of time stalking the website until the cabin we wanted was available (forward facing club balcony on the Sun--there are only 2 and i kept checking to see if one got released). now I've got another project, lol.

i called and was told that they will only do 1 price drop on that reservation prior to final payment so I am going to hold off for a bit since it's over a year away.

I still see the free airfare for the second person listed as part of the deal. I checked our 2023 sailing and it's gone down $800 or about 10%. i'll call NCL tomorrow.

thanks--I'm pretty happy with the front-facing mini-suite and was mostly curious about the factors that go into being offered an upsell. on the 11th deck on the Sun there 6 forward facing cabins: 2 suites, 2 regular balconies, and 2 mini-suites. the Sun is new to us so I've been busy learning all about it!

we're sailing the Sun next year and the cabin i really wanted opened up (front-facing mini-suite). I don't like the bathroom arrangement as much as I do with the side-facing mini-suites but the room is a big bigger. I'm curious if, like with flights, certain cabins are easier to resell for a higher price and so you're more likely to be offered an upsell or upgrade closer to the sail date. thanks!
