Avoid April Travel. Horrible customer service while husband was in a Belgium hospital. Took months to pay trip interruption, then they tried to short me $1300. Now, five months later, I'm still not hearing from them about not paying the six thousand dollar hospital bill. Bought through Online Vacation Center, who have repeatedly told me this never happens with this company. Go third party. I thought the travel agent would be a help if there was a problem. They got their commission. They're gone

Used Nike Blue tours seven years ago and was thrilled. This past year, we went to Egypt on our own and booked a river cruise and guides with their people. Due to the downturn in tourism in Egypt, I think several companies have now merged. The cruise was awful. Our guides were mediocre to just plain horrible. I would not recommend them again

Took the train once to save money, with fellow travelers. Awful experience. Save money elsewhere, is my advise

Also please, keep in mind, outdoor dining or drinking may cost extra$$$

Can anyone tell me about experiences with a tour guide that does a good job with the out of the way places? I know it can be done on your own, but we're spoiled and like to be driven and lectured a bit. Great info...

I noticed that some of you said you were going in May and June. So, what did you do? How was it ? We're planning for November and would appreciate your feedback.

We used Nile Blue last year and were very happy with everything. If they had a stop "planned" and we didn't want to do that, we told them, and they honored our wishes. Totally accomodating. Highly recommend.

:(We did the Murano glass factory "tour" two years ago. What a joke. It's a scam to get you in their showroom. You see about two minutes of "demonstration", then the tour consists of the showroom filled with the thousands of dollar pieces. I bought a picture frame, which was no bargain, and they treated me like scum ! I shopped their "bargain basement", then they dump you on the street, and you get back to your hotel on your own, with no assistance from your "tour guide". It was a huge rip off, not just my opinion but out friends' as well. But if you want to see Murano, go.

Hope I’m in the right place. Thinking about a private 4 people, Troll Road tour. Anybody have any experience with Calm Giant Tour Company? We will be in Alesund June 6 on NCL Star Thanks
