5/13/2020 is an 11 night Russia/Scandinavia cruise, 5/13 to 5/24.
Thanks for the correction! The guy I spoke to on the phone didn't seem too confident and I wasn't able to see anything on the U.S. website at the time.

Just called and booked Jewel from Copenhagen B2B, May 24, 2020 (Russia & Scandinavian 7 night) with May 31, 2020 (Norwegian Fjords).
They did mention that the 11 Night Arctic Circle cruise will sail 5/13-5/23/20 so not sure why there is a day gap with the next cruise sailing on the 24th, unless I misunderstood.

Ditto what everyone else has said - thank you very much for your detailed review and the scanned-in images!

And just for the sake of others that may be reading this, the cancellation deadline for some excursions is 30 days. The text below is from an RCCL email I received today in reference to AK sailings.
TERMS & CONDITIONS*Tours involving flights, trains, special events, overnight stays, hotel stays and Private Journeys must be cancelled 30 days prior to sailing to avoid cancellation penalties. Other restrictions may apply.

In regards to the pre-tour, never having been there, I have to say, I think the pre-tour was actually good.
<snip>
Hope that helps.
VERY HELPFUL! Thanks for this summary of your PROs/CONs.

I tried to remember the name of the restaurant when I was writing the review and I couldn't. <snip> The restaurant is a building, not a trailer. The food was very good and yes, I would go back.
Thanks for the info - I'm sure that we'll be able to find it!

There are phone/desktop apps that allow you to synchronize your phone's location at any given moment with the creation time on your image.I recently purchased a Sony HX90V to take with on our recent Baltic Sea cruise. <snip> Here are two examples from the moving ship at full focal extension.
Thank you both! I firmly believe that being able to see some examples is the best way to compare and to evaluate my desire or tolerance for a new camera.
I didn't know that there were apps that would let me add GPS to the EXIF but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Can either of you recommend a website that has a good tool to compare photos between the RX100 and the HX90V?

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. Where did you have lunch in Carcross and would you go there again? We are traveling there in early September.
-
You're basically trading a 2013 Mercedes to get a 2017 Chevy Malibu.
Thank you both for your comments. Also, havoc315, thanks for the analogy as that is helpful.

Are binoculars still provided in GS (or other suites) for AK sailings? I am not seeing any mention of this on the "Enhanced Program for Suite Guests" webpage. We plan to bring a pair but might bring two pair if none will be provided.

Thanks so much for sharing and for posting. Perhaps I missed it in your description, but which cruise tour was this?
Also, i look forward to reading the documents that Carole gave you upon check-in. I see that you've posted them successfully - YAY! Any way to make them larger?

Hi - I've had a Sony RX100/A for several years and have really enjoyed the form factor and ability to take excellent photos. I'm looking to get something newer as this camera now seems to lag between photos and I was a bit shocked to see the cost of any of the later versions of the RX100.
Some important features to me include GPS and Wi-Fi and I've been considering the HX90V. I am an enthusiast but I don't do a lot of enlargements or super-technical stuff. Would someone here be able to offer their opinion of what I might expect in making the move to the HX90V?
A couple other thoughts ... I like the fact that the software and buttons on the camera would be similar to what I'm already used to and the RX100 'III' type viewfinder on the HX90V seems like a win.
Any feedback or thoughts would be appreciated. Are there non-Sony alternatives that I should consider?

Sorry I am not good at describing meals but it was one of my favorites being the meat eater that I am. :D
This was very helpful and I really appreciate your sharing your thoughts. We are sailing on Radiance later this summer and enjoy specialty dining as a change of pace but are also otherwise usually happy in the MDR. We were thinking of Samba as something that isn't as ubiquitous as Chops or Giovanni's, etc. Sounds like it will be a nice change of pace and a good place to celebrate my dad's birthday.
-
Hi - i saw that you ate one day at Samba Grill? How was your experience there and would you go there again? Thanks for writing-up your trip report and sharing all of your wonderful photos.
-
Completely accessible. Not in the least closed off. Izumi is on the port side, but the starboard side is open: Rita's is totally gone.
Thank you!! I hope that your sailings have all been great!

I am on the Radiance in Alaska now. I was on the Radiance in Alaska last cruise.
Carol, not trying to hijack the thread but would you let me know how access to the aft/outdoor WJ seating is currently? In the past I've read about it being closed-off since both sides of the back WJ are (were?) dedicated to fee-dining locales. Headed back to AK later in the season this year. I was on Serenade in AK back in 2009 and really enjoyed eating outside ... in the WJ and the place where Sabor is now. Thanks!
-
Thanks so much for the feedback - sounds like you had a wonderful time! We are sailing on Radiance late in the AK season this year.
What was going on in the Rita's Cantina space? Also, was there continuous and easy access to the aft/outdoor Windjammer seating?

It still doesn't answer the question if suites are going to be charged for in-room dining when ordering off the dining room menu. This is still considered room service.
On Twitter a little bit ago they said that it will be "complimentary for Grand Suites and above".
-
Same here - have been unable to do any cruise searches this morning via their website.

Thanks for sharing your recent experience. Every time I went to use my points for anything other than OBC there were so many "ifs","buts" and "sorry, no" that I threw in the towel. I even emailed RCCL/C&A explaining my reason for ditching the card but from our back and forth they clearly still believe that the card offers tremendous "value". I explained that it was no longer competitive and they did not deny that comment. I am not surprised that value to them is not the same as what I perceive as value.
Good luck - maybe your TA will be willing to try one more time. I cannot find the logic in their decision.

In St. Thomas......
We always go to the Marriott in St' date=' Kitts
Antigua.....[/size']
Thank you very much!

ok....
Barbados......as soon as you come out of the building.....look for the private taxi drivers. The regular taxi line has too much drama! You will wait forever for the taxi to fill up. Anyway...' date='.,I like Accra Beach here.,,,.la place called The Tiki Bar. You pay $30 for two chairs and an umbrella but you will get that money back to spend on food and drinks. Good deal. Beautiful beach. Can be crowded this time of year...,.lget there early. Very quiet and nice. Taxi drivers will come back for you.
Hope this helps.[/size']
Hi, this is really helpful information. We are doing one of the other itineraries in February. Would you guys be able to recommend anything specific for St Kitts, Antigua, Saint Thomas, and St. Lucia? I hiked the Pitons last time and will NOT be doing that again!
Thank you for sharing your experiences.

We already have heard that there is no Park Cafe.
Thanks for the info. I hadn't heard whether there would or would not be a Park Cafe after the dry dock. Does your comment refer to there being no plans to have Park Cafe or they just haven't completed that yet?
And with that said, do the ships ever have the mini roast beef sandwiches in a different venue that isn't Park Cafe?
-
We will be on that ship/itinerary in March. A nice review would be welcomed.
Same here ... also would enjoy hearing what you do in Honduras and Belize! Have a great trip!
Resolved: The schedule/ship order of when Starlink will be active on the fleet exist
in Celebrity Cruises

FYI, we were on Infinity earlier this month and Starlink was live (we could see the receivers while walking around up on deck 11). We were surprised after seeing the planned rollout schedule with Infinity listed as 2024.
