My family and I are soon taking a Disney Cruise aboard the "Fantasy." My son will have a rental car and I will have my own car. Can we both drive directly up to Terminal 8 and drop our families off with our luggage? Can I then follow my son to the car rental return and then he and I drop my car off at the terminal parking lot or garage? Can we walk from the parking lot or garage or is there a shuttle? I would appreciate any advice that you can offer. Thank you in advance!!

Over Christmas we will be on a 10 cruise to the Eastern Caribbean aboard Princess's Royal Princess. We are interested in possible "Independent Excursions" not sponsored by Princess to the islands of Amber Cove Dominican Republic, St. Kitts, Barbados, Martinique, and Antigua. Any suggestions? Please identify any "Independent Excursion" companies that you would recommend. We have always enjoyed "Independent Excursions" recommended by fellow Cruise Critic members.

We're taking a cruise on Princess's "Emerald Princess"and we will be on Deck 10 (Caribe) in Cabin C739. How is this cabin and balcony? Any pictures anyone can share?

This cabin is at the aft end and on the starboard side of the ship. Smoking is allowed in the aft end/starboard side of the ship three decks below on Deck 7 (Promenade.) If you are sitting on the C739 balcony, can you detect the smokers three decks below on Deck 7?

Last summer we spent 4 nights in a vacation rental on the edge of Panzano, in the Chianti region: Agriturismo Felciano. While this is a self-catering cottage, rather than a B&B, there are some B&B places in the area as listed here. The area was gorgeous, and would highly recommend a vacation there.

 

Note while you don't absolutely have to have a car (there's a bus from Florence), it really does make touring a lot easier.

After many trips to Switzerland in May I would say that early in the month you can almost be sure of snow and cold but many sunny days. By the end of May it is unbelievably beautiful and warmer but never hot.

Taking a train from Venice, we want to stay in the Tuscany Region for about three nights. We would like to stay in an area with either B&Bs or homes renting rooms where we can have breakfast. We would like to be able to walk to a nearby small town with some restaurants to experience the Italian cuisine and small markets, and take side trips to see the country side. Any recommendations for the names of towns like this and/or names of places to stay?

We will be spending two days in Zermatt with the goal of seeing the Matterhorn. Based on typical and seasonal weather conditions, is mid-May a good time to travel there with a possibility of clear weather and a view of the Matterhorn?

We've been to Cozumel several times and have done the usual excursions including the Tulum Mayan Ruins, Snorkeling, America's Cup Racing, Stingray Encounter, Catamaran Sailing, and Twister Speed Boat. Does anyone having any recommendations for other excursions that you've enjoyed, either through Princess or a private company in Cozumel?

Is anyone aware of a similar link for viewing the balconies of Princess's Caribbean Princess?

We are thinking about taking the 5 Day Western Caribbean cruise aboard Princess's Caribbean Princess in late December 2014 and staying on Deck 14 (Riviera Deck) in either Cabins R234, R235,or R243. Are there any issues with any of these cabins? Any obstructed views? How is the overall condition of the Caribbean Princess?

We are considering a cruise on the Princess Island Princess. On our last several cruises, we have enjoyed the Aft (Wake-Watchers) cabins, which are not available on the Island Princess. According to the deck plans, it looks like Cabins B734 and B737 on Deck 11 (Baja Deck) may have a very slight wrap-around feature that may enable a partial view toward the aft end of the ship versus just looking straight out the sides of the ship.

Has anyone stayed in these rooms on either the Island Princess or the Coral Princess? If so, do you have at least a slight partial view aft?

We will be traveling with Vantage Travel on the ms River Splendor in September 2014 to Passau. We have to select between a full day excursion to Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic or a walking tour of Passau. Has anyone taken either of these excursions or does anyone have any feedback from fellow Vantage Travelers as to which excursion we should be considering?

We will be taking the Douro River Wine Country River Cruise with Vantage Travel in Oct. 2015 aboard the Douro Spirit. There is a 4 day/3 night pre-trip extension available to Madeira, Portugal. Any helpful information or recommendations on whether we should consider this extension?
