The RCCL shuttle from Venice to Ravenna was very smooth, the only hiccup was needing to provide fake flight info. Hopefully that is something they rectified

In Rome, we used Civitavecchia Shuttle Express to and from the port. Since you asked, the rules say that I can recommend. They were easy to deal with, very responsive to emails (and even WhatsApp), and above all ON TIME. We had prior experiences in Rome, and the services were unreliable. CSE was great, and the prices reasonable.

Thank you! We will look into providing a fake flight number from Venice to Ravenna and booked the Civitavecchia Shuttle Express back to our hotel in Rome after the cruise. Appreciate the info!

  2. Reading all of this is giving me slight anxiety about getting to/from our Brilliance cruise in October 😅

Sounds like a private transfer is worth the money to not deal with the shuttle/train situations.

Anyone have any recommendations for a private transfer from our hotel in Venice to Ravenna and then from Civitavecchia to our hotel in Rome?

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Not sure how accurate this is.. but I heard that today the Dream was going to Cozumel and skipped Belize.. then heading home one day early .

( from someone dating a ship photographer)

The ship locator does say it's in Cozumel today. Interesting..

  4. He would be using his Naturalization Certificate which he received when he became a US citizen (that' how I read the original post anyway).

    Yes, exactly.

Ok thanks! We are going to try to get the passport renewal expedited but wanted to make sure if it was not an option that he could still board with his other paperwork.

  5. We are cruising in 17 days and my boyfriend just realized his US passport is expired. He was born in China, but is a US citizen.

He has his original Certificate of Citizenship with the raised seal and his drivers license - will that be enough to get on board?

I called Carnival and they said it would be enough but ultimately it's up to Homeland Security and gave me their number. I call them and they said it's up to Carnival!?

Curious if anyone else has ever had this come up?

    Thanks for any help!

  6. yes, We did it. We switched my youngest son (16) and my niece (30) so my nephew(28) was in a cabin with two "under 21's" (my other son is only 20). My niece isn't a big drinker but my nephew wanted Cheers. Just go to guest services and tell them that the girls will be in one room and the guys in the other. They will switch if for you but you will need to get extra keys so the girls can get into their proper cabins. They will have to carry 2 cards but worth it if you want it that way.

Did they ask any questions on why you were switching, etc?

We want to do this also.

    Thanks!

  7. We did Cheers last year on the Ecstasy, and will do it again in a heartbeat.

If you're a drinker, it's nice to know you won't have any surprises at the end of your cruise with a crazy bar bill.

We like to drink and party, and it's actually harder than you think to hit the 15 per day.
