    Hi Jonathon,

I see you are from the UK, what is the stronger hand sanitiser that you buy?

    Hi Nicole and Pete,

I got this one from Amazon:

"INEOS - Sanitiser Pocket Gel (50 ml) - Hand Sanitiser - Hospital Grade, Effective against 99.9% of Viruses and Bacteria"

Sorry it won't let me paste the link but that's the listing name 🙂

I really hope they get all of this sickness under control soon! We are boarding in July, and normally it’s a good time

of year for travel in terms of sickness. I do remember, though, on one of our Med cruises pre-pandemic, a big group of Australians had upper respiratory infections going on, and we’d dodge coughs on the tour buses and in the buffet. I wonder if since it’s winter in Australia, that’s how the flu is onboard in the Med right now.

Agreed, we are also on in July for 2 weeks. We always pack for illness as we travel a fair bit and have two older teens and a tween one of which picks things up easily. But based on this thread I have picked up some electrolyte sachets, cough medicine and despite some mixed reviews Tamiflu. Always take the stronger hand sanitiser on cruises anyway.

  3. I'm having the same issue and am also in the UK which could be a factor here, I booked with a TA and along the line I upgraded from Plus to Premier. The amount outstanding for me is for Premier. The TA has paid it and I'm in week 6 of trying to get it resolved. Princess won't speak to me about it but have told my TA it's a system issue and I have paid and I have Premier so "don't worry about it"!!!. Despite this it says I owe the balance and the cruise us going to be cancelled like you are getting and my app says I have Plus.

It's a big TA and I'm dealing with one person in their customer service who also seems frustrated and annoyed with Princess as she is being given the run around. They keep saying it will be fixed and it never is.

We go in July for 2 weeks on Enchanted and have 2 Penthouse suites so it's not exactly a cheap booking not that it should matter!

    Anyone have any ideas?

Jon, you do know that if you are on Plus, you can buy a glass of premium wine and just pay the price differential (plus 18%), right?   Complicates the math!

Many thanks good advice, I will try and keep track of it and see if I should stick to Plus next time. Thank you 🙂

  5. Hi Peter and Monique,

Very interesting thank you, I upgraded to Premier for our med cruise specifically for the better wine selection. We are also in a full suite, in the concierge lounge do you still charge the wine order to your medallion? What hours was it open? Perhaps a plan is to get a glass to walk to dinner with it?

  6. Thanks to the person posting the pics, very interesting.

The point is Princess are trying to attract a broad range of people to take plus, I run an IT company and we sell packages to our customers and include a wide selection of features some more popular than others but that's ok as different people want different things. They also don't use every feature all the time but they know it's there if they want it.

My Mum would love these desserts as she has a really sweet tooth, she does not really drink! The desserts remind me of items available at places like the Sugar Factory or the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium at Universal. Both of which are very popular.

For me they do look a bit big though, I'm assuming Princess will run the new features for a while and survey guests to see what they think. They clearly feel they need to be a step different to what is available within the regular cruise price.

  7. Hi there,

We have cruised Disney, NCL and P&O before but this year we have two Princess cruises booked, one on Enchanted in the med for two weeks and one on Island Princess for Norway in October. It will be interesting trying one of the oldest and newest ships.

I have three daughters and my eldest two are 18 and 17 and a half (15 month gap!!).

I just wondered if anyone had any tips for these ages to get the most out of particularly the med cruise which myself and my 17 year old chose after many hours of planning and searching together.

I saw in a video one person commenting that the adult only pool and gym is 16 plus? This would be helpful as she uses the gym a lot at school and she is keen to carry on whilst away, she is a very mature 17 year old. She is most excited about the ports and is spending a lot of time planning what we can do at them which is good as there are a lot of ports to visit!

For the 18 year old I feel like it might be challenging for her to meet other people her age as obviously she can't go to the club, I'm not sure the singles and solo travellers meetup is right for an 18 year old.

  8. We looking at booking a cruise with RC on 6th August 2016 on Oasis of the Seas. I have 3 girls who at the time of sailing will be 4, 10 and 11. My eldest would turn 12 on 9th August a few days in. Do you know what would happen from a kids club point of view? I think from the booking conditions it seems that she is classed as 11 for the whole cruise. Equally I'm concerned that she may be ready for the teen (12 - 14) activities by this point.

We have been on a cruise for her Birthday for the last couple of years, but always with Disney and they are quite flexible.

Does anyone have any experience of this issue? It's not a deal breaker for us, I just wondered.

    Thank you very much!

  9. Hi there,

Does anyone know when dates are released for June/July 2015? We would like to book a transatlantic crossing and missed out this year as we need interconnecting cabins, which after speaking to Cunard last September for a crossing this year proved to be quite difficult (there are 5 of us).
