What is the current price for 1 Ltr Single Malt Whiskey in the Gift Shop? I remember Glenfiddich was "on special" on the last cruise. Depending on the price, I may purchase onboard or maybe COSTCO in the US and hand them in.

so glad to hear someone else is going on the golden to australia. we are trying to get our affairs in order to make the trip and we were wondering about the ship also.

OP back again. I watched a YouTube video yesterday of a guy talking about what VO does well and what it "misses" Each comment elicited a "that sounds great to me" from me and my husband (i.e. - no kids under 16, no smoking, etc.). Based on those comments we are even more happy to have chosen a VO cruise for next year.

I just got off the Sky and there is smoking on the 7th deck or 8th? cannot remember but it is really nasty especially when you go up for sail aways. I was great with NO kids, but a lot to be desired in the excursion dept.

is tea available at the Living Room and if so is there a charge.

was finally contacted by email about the sold out excursions and was assured that we would be able to join one. I finally called my initial agent that made my booking about our air. She was upset that we had not been ticketed yet and got me to the air dept. and after some "heated discussions" we are now ticketed. So I can breathe.and worry about something else.LOL

Yes we are overnighting in NYC wouldn't go in on embarkation day.

due to our air flights and transfers to ship from JFK we are assuming we will be aboard at about 3p.m. will there be any food available at that time? Since we will be flying from 5 a.m. till 1 p.m. by 3 it will be a little hungry.

By the way, we are sailing on the Sky on Oct. 5, 2017 so just 4 weeks away. No info yet from the cruise line about air and no answers from email. We are in a grt. cabin so maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe no info till you get a cabin assignment.I was able to make 4 included excursions, but the rest are sold out. Maybe when we get on board.

Yes, I emailed them at that address, haven't heard anything back yet.I thought I would have heard Tuesday, but maybe today. I also requested distilled water for DH for cpap.

Thanks, I find it very hard to read their deck info. as compared to other cruise lines.

We are on the Viking Sky Oct. 5-17 NYC to Montreal haven't heard about any changes on our itinerary.

where does the Sky leave from in NYC?any thoughts about the embarkation at that location?

Are there actual computers on the ship, maybe in the business center??I can't find any info. on this.and where is the business center?We don't have smart phones.

I know about the drop box. all the times are sold out.I have sent Viking an email about it. haven't heard back yet.

is bottled water available everywhere on the ship? and sodas? or only at restaurants at meals? I don't drink coffee but diet coke in the a.m. is my caffeine.

The included excursions on our cruise are sold out. I keep checking every day to see if they have opened up, but no yet. One of the reasons we chose Viking was the included excursion. Don't they guarantee that you get an included excursion.And all of the optional pay cruises are sold out. Any ideas for a newbie?

do men wear polo shirts with collars to dinner or just long-sleeved button down dress shirts?

maybe i didn't specify are the beers and wines only served in the restaurants ,is it any restaurants and is it served the whole time the venue is open? Like the pool grill has a bar so does it only serve until a certain time?

Maybe this has been asked before, in regards to the included beer,wine,sodas at lunch and dinner, are they only served in the dining rooms and at certain times, or can you get one at a bar at certain times?

Really getting excited about the Golden 1-19-2011 and all the wonderful aloha experiences on board. But confused, will David Cole be on our sailing?

We are staying at La Quinta on 26th ave. in Nov. and parking car for 11 night cruise.Is it pretty safe there, has anyone heard of cars being stolen or broken into? Thanks
