I was taught it is not what the gift is it is the thought -
P&O are not obliged to give the passengers anything, surely no one books a Christmas cruise just to get a gift
As for whomever posted this dribble - has he responded to any of the negative postings ??? I think he may have been a stirrer and just wanted the reactions
-
Without prompting, numerous phone calls and e mails P&O new what had to be done and like the professionals they are did it
They put peoples safety first
They made sure those people waiting to board had accommodation FOC and would still get to see the 2 ports of call
They could have stopped here but no 50% of the cost of their cruise would be refunded
However the poor passengers wanting to get of must have thought they were on a roller coaster with the high winds, their poor tummy's, nothing P&O can do about the weather
Well done P&O this is why I choose to travel with you

:)Prefdavid you do things so well, what a team
P&O do not organise Meet & Mingles as do other cruise lines, but I feel it adds to the holiday
Meet and Mingle - you start the ball rolling in roll calls, if there are not many of you then choose a location on board ship ie a bar to meet up the first full sea day, a time and how to recognise each other needed
If there are going to be a lot of you, as David has said we are upto 50, then contact P&O events team and they will allocate a room, with nibbles and drinks for you all to meet up, they will also send personal invitations to everyone who has said they would like to meet
I hope this has been helpful

I can see no benefit at all, the two different ladies I have had have never called me back, never notified me of any special deal cruises, when wanting to book my cruises I have ended up just booking with the person who answers the call because in the past when I have left my details for my personal cruise specialist to phone me back waited and waited and no call back, sorry to be so negative :(

I love everything from start to finish
Sailings to and from Southampton, no need to fly if you do not want to = no weight limit
My free 2 glasses of fizz at sailaway [OG does not drink wine]
Reading my daily paper on what will be on the next day and highlighting where I will be and when
The many various clubs and activities to choose from
The deal of the day in the shops, I need my daily fix of retail therapy
The food so much to choose ,from table service to help yourself
The whole staff always wanting to please and make your holiday special
The choice of ports, P&O just need to sort their pricing better, but still excellent value for money
I love dressing up so enjoy all the different dress codes
It is rare I go to the cinema on land but I have been and seen a few films at the cinema on board, and it is free
The Entertainment, I have a choice to go and see if it appeals to me
Going to the salon for a manicure or to have my hair done
I feel so very special with P&O so much so I purchased shares
Thank you P&O from a loyal sailor
It is easy to criticise but harder to praise

Babs135 before you purchase a coffee card I would try a cup first, I love Costa coffee but hated the Costa coffee on board, even though they use everything as they do in Costa back here it is the water it alters the taste
Have a fantastic cruise

I love P&O and would have no plans to move, I am always happy with the cruise's I have booked & the price paid, however
WE booked our 2014 cruise in May 2013 when we had vantage and getaway fares since then they have changed to select and early bird and yes our cruise has gone down by £1000 per couple
I sent a message to P&O mentioning this and received an e mail saying they had added some extra OBS for us
Thank you P&O:)
-
Thanking you all for all your replies
I wish you all a Happy Christmas and a Healthy & Prosperous New Year, with of course lots of lovely cruises
:)

It is not the money but the principal, when I booked there was no thought by P&O to get rid of getaway, I accepted that the cruise price could very well drop if there are empty cabins, no problem with any of that
Along comes Early Saver, I stupidly took that word for word, book nice and early and you get a better deal. but oh no if you left it to 12 weeks before the sailing you get the better deal
As I am not bothered where on the ship my cabin is or which sitting I have at dinner I will await a reduced deal on my next cruise
-
This is another way of saying GETAWAY,
I booked my cruise May 2013 when we had Vantage & Getaway fares, I paid full price for my holiday, then P&O bring in Select & Early Saver guess what with 12 weeks till I go, Oh and the balance paid this month, my cruise has been put in the Early Saver, the cost has gone down £1000 per couple same cabin same deck etc
I phoned them up and tried to explain that to me an early saver was when the holiday first comes out and an incentive to us cruisers to book early, not to drop by so much with 12 weeks to go
Sorry nothing we can do you pay the price you booked the cruise at, fine Ok, but as a sweetner I say how about a free bottle of wine in the cabin, certainly not
I plan to book a second cruise for next year but instead of booking early I will wait till 12 weeks before I want to cruise to get the better price
Getaway is no longer with us but his identical twin early saver is
Prefdavid & Andrew I need a drink :o

Enjoyed coming with you on your 2 week cruise, thank you
Your holiday April 2012 is it a Canaries one as I would like to follow you on this holiday as well
Quiz - was it a "proper" quiz ie in teams of 4 or 6, last year we did not enjoy Celebrity quiz's as they were in the small theatre and no fun at all
Safe journey home
