New budget cut?  Wow they have gotten smaller!  Carnival Magic swapped sizes for this cruise.

I was on the Sunshine end of November/beginning of December and the cakes came out in different sizes and shapes of ramekins.

I've tried 4 different browsers for Fly2Fun and can't get the page to work at all. I've tried various times over the last week.  There is no way to choose my departure airport.  I type in the code and it doesn't recognize it nor does it give a pull down menu like it does for HOU (I'm going on Jubilee).  It just says "Please choose a valid airport."  Really strange and frustrating.

I generally book my own air but was trying to see what the cost was with transfers since Houston is a bit of a distance from Galveston.

It's very frustrating!  I am sorry you are going through this, too!

It is up to you obviously but you might want to consider transferring your cruise reservation to a competent travel agent who can help you with flights as well. We are unable to recommend specific travel agents on this board but I would recommend using a travel agent in general.

Thank you.  Do you mean an agent at Carnival?  If so, how do I go about doing that?

When you go to "manage my booking" it's available as a drop down item.

Ah, thank you!  I just tried that and got an error.  I will keep trying!

Why don't you use the website? Is that down also?

Can you book through the Carnival website?  Where?  The girl I just talked to said she didn't think you can.  Doesn't seem like anyone knows what they are talking about over there.

  6. I have been trying to get a price for a flight for my cruise in October and have called three times now to only be told that their system is down.  They seem to have no idea when it will be back up and will not call me when it is.  So, in the meantime, I need to just continue to call and wait on hold until someone answers me to find out if it is back up.  Is anyone else having this problem?

    Thank you!

  7. Well, we were assigned a cabin number but not a Havana cabana cabin.  😞  I called Carnival and the first girl I talked to didn't even know what a Havana cabin was, she transferred me to another girl that couldn't help then transferred me to the Resolutions Department that told me that I didn't book a Havana cabana cabin.  I am SURE that I did click on that option.  I really think Carnival needs to check their website.  Anyway, we do have a balcony on the 11th deck so it's better than nothing.

Just wanted to update you all.  Thank you for your help!!

I was just curious what Carnival told you when you called?

But it sounds like maybe you have determined (through screen shots and advice here) that it's a balcony guarantee, not Havana area?

If you have time to come back up update us after your cabin is assigned, I'd love to know how it turns out.  Living on the west coast we sail out of Long Beach frequently but I've never tried a guaranteed cabin.

No one seem to know what to tell me.  Was strange.  I will post back on here once we do get a cabin.

Your price should be the $2,098 + $1,530 for Cabana.  $3,628.00.

I see what you are talking about.  Strange because I do  have a balcony cabin according to my Booking.  It says that we have a BL Balcony and I did not pay $708 extra for that.  Just the $2,098.

    CATEGORY: BL BALCONY

I thought the same thing.  Hopefully OP will come back and let us know how it turned out.

I did a mock booking (selecting Havana Cabana), see below.  image.thumb.jpeg.bee4139cc5b38e202310b747145504a9.jpeg2052510223_Mockbooking2.thumb.jpg.9aa9765875bc1f2b5efc00603e29b78c.jpg95352461_Mockbooking3.thumb.jpg.71d8a1a201f1e73a6d16fdcb29db743a.jpg

My apologies. You will have seen that we no longer have full bottle liquor sales available on pre order. Hard liquor is no longer available for pre-order on our Fun Shops. All existing sales will be honored and guests can still pre-order up to two bottles of wine for onboard delivery and consumption.
You can still of course purchase from the shops on board and ashore and these of course are not for use on board. I know this maybe frustrating for a few of you but I am sure everyone will understand why we need to do this. Cheers

When did he post that?  I can't find it on his page.

Well, remember that your guarantee cabin is a minimum. They can upgrade you. So you aren't guaranteed a Havana cabana. You are guaranteed at least a Havana cabana. They can "upgrade" you to any room that they consider is a higher level room.

Ok, thank you.  I assume it would be in the Havana area, though, correct?

The “issue” is that they’re going to make you wait because the computer is programmed to release rooms to guarantee fares at specific times, generally shortly before your cruise.

We booked a guaranteed rate for an accessible room for four within Family Harbor.  There’s only a single room that meets this criteria, yet it wasn’t assigned until the day of departure - and of course it was the room we expected.

That's good to know because I was worried that we won't get a Havana cabana even though that is the category that I chose.  Thank you!

There is nothing to worry about. It is not uncommon to get a room number 3-7 days before you actually set sail. Also had one trip where I was not assigned a room number until I was boarding the ship. If you booked a Guarantee Havana, that is what you will get. Not having a room number until the last minute is just one of the draw-backs of booking a Guarantee room (and thus the reason it is cheaper since Carnival can slot you into what-ever room is available after the upgrade fairy has visited everyone else).

Ok, thank you!  I know there are only like two Havana cabins that will accommodate 3 people so I don't understand what the issue is.

once i was assigned a cabin when we checked in at the port the day of the cruise.

YIKES!  I am on hold with Carnival now.  Even the girl that answered doesn't know what it means.

Did you select a guaranteed cabin (where Carnival selects the room for you)?  I think you’ll get your assigned room at check in.

Yes, I selected a Havana cabin.  We checked in today and still only have TBA (DECK).
