  1. OV #s3112 through 3144. While these Cat06 windows on deck 3, starboard, are not floor-to-ceiling, they have huge round windows that a person can sit & perch on, kind of like a cute circular window seat. These cabins used to be conference and meeting rooms that have been converted into ocean views. I’m sure if you did a search here for some of these stateroom numbers, you will find some great pics.

Be aware these particular cabins go quick!

  2. You can also call up Celebrity or the Captains Club, get them to .pdf your Xpress pass to your email, then open it and print.

I have not been able to access my reservations in weeks. Whenever I need anything, I call and get them to send me the documents via email. I figure if they can’t get their website to work properly, then I’ll just keep calling and get their “customer reps” to take the time and do it for me...

PDFs are sent immediately and I have a printout two minutes later.

  3. Did you bring it up on board? The room service supervisor last week is a great guy, who takes the job very serviously. We met him in February, and he is still on board.

Would you happen to have gotten the RS supervisor’s name? I’ll be on Silly in a couple of weeks and would LOVE to know...;)

  4. My first sailing on X was Alaska on Mercury in a Sky Suite. Now these really were sky suites! Deck 12, with humongous verandas! I have also sailed twice on Century in SS. All as a solo. Sky suites on M-class & S-class ships (I’ve subsequently been in several) simply do NOT compare.

So, May 2004 - picture it: onboard for Mother’s Day. Daughter arranged casino credit (along with a bouquet of roses) as a gift. The casino was stunningly gorgeous. And the casino bar.... beautiful. I’m sitting at a dollar Wheel of Fortune.... got the spin....and hit the thousand-dollar prize.:') I recall sending my daughter a picture of the hundreds all spread out on my bed.

What a Mother’s Day. What a magnificent vessel. What a first-time sailing. I LOVED C-Class. Just the right size. Mercury is (and in my humble opinion always shall be) ) a real first-class ship.

  5. Now that you've taken the pause for refreshment I have a couple of suggestions that may (or may not) work. First, cap the bottle so it doesn't spill on your keyboard in case of failure. Then open your browser and delete cookies and cache. Then open and InPrivate window on Edge if you have it, or other browser and go to the Celebrity website. Once you've reached the Celebrity home page, don't log in with user name and password. Instead click check in up in the upper right. Enter your reservation number, name, ship and sail date. Hopefully you'll find what you need there. Good luck. If it doesn't work, take a breath...or twelve and call.

This was too funny. But, guess what? (Gawd, I hate this saying—why on earth did I use it). Your advice, and necessary steps that were taken, has worked! God love ya.

And now that I have my much-anticipated Xpress Pass in my grubby hands, the cap on the bottle is off again.

Much Good Luck to everyone who suffers from The Hated Celebrity Website. I truly hope that I get the chance some day to respond to any X website survey with regard to their IT “consultants”.

  6. Thanks for that 800-number, cltnccruisers. I actually called it, optimist that I am... This cruise line is hilarious. I say this as an elite+ CC member, having sailed with X for over 19 years.

I was transferred twice, on hold both times for over 20 minutes. I’m presently holding for a Captain’s Club rep (12 mins. and counting)..

All I want is access to my account in order to print my Xpress Pass.

  7. All I want to do is print my Xpress pass for a cruise I’m booked on, sailing in three weeks. FORGET IT!!! Not happening on the website. I am now BLOCKED, seemingly for the foreseeable future...

I am now on Day #3. Still no access. If I call (which I have HAD to do on numerous occasions), I’m afraid I will have a MAJOR meltdown with whoever has the misfortune to answer my call. It’s five o’clock- somewhere - and I have reached for the Scotch bottle.

  8. My travel agent is contacting Celebrity today about taking advantage of the Elite perk of upgrading from C3 to C2. Waiting for them to get back to me.

If there are C2s available you should get it for the price you paid for a C3. That’s what the Captains Club offers its members as a perk. Period.

Come back and let us know how you make out.:)

  9. I almost always wait until onboard to book SRs, because more often than not the discount offered (when you inquire) will be 15%, and many times 20%, or even 25%. Staff will go that high to make "the sale", particularly if you show a "je m'en fiche"* attitude.;)

As for prime seating times, I don't mind a rezzie an hour earlier (or later) than I would normally dine.

    *French for: I don't care:D

  10. THIS! When I travel solo and add up the cost of the "inclulded suite perks" to the cost of an Aqua class cabin, often, the cost is a few hundred $. Not always true, but certainly worth doing the math.

Hi, Straughn - guess what? I travel solo, too!;)

  11. Yes, having a suites-only dining venue is nicer than eating in the main dining room with the masses. Service is exceptional, as is the quality of menu. Michael's Club is lovely - the pampering and personal attention can't be beat.

Remember that suites get all four perks. So the gratuities are included, the Wifi is unlimited, a $300 OBC comes with the suite, and your unlimited beverage package is premium (not Classic, as with the perk given in other categories).

So, when you compare a regular cabin vs. a suite $-wise, often it comes pretty darn close. Add the MC concierge, the suites-only embarkation check-in, and a butler thrown in to boot, yes, I go for the suite whenever my pocket book allows.

  12. Hello, Sam. I recall very fondly you and your wife, Martha - April 2006, Infinity through Panama Canal.:) We both had aft cabins on Deck 7. I was cruising solo in 7206 and, if I remember correctly, you & Martha hosted a balcony CC gathering in 7203 during Canal Day?

Eleven years and I still remember that wonderful sailing, and what a fun CC crowd we had.

    Best, Roxanne

  13. $19/hr. Two attendants come (for security reasons). It will be charged to your onboard account.

If your child is toilet trained they have evening programs (as well as all-day activity) at the Fun Factory that can be utilized free of charge. Check the FF schedules for more detailed information.

  14. I don't believe this has been mentioned yet. I give the pool grill where they serve burgers, hotdogs & fries on HAL a HUGE plus over X. You place your order at the counter, they give you a beeper, and your food is prepared fresh-to-your-order. You may wait five minutes, but when that beeper sounds, you go right up and pick up your food, and it's nice and hot.:)

X's pool grill is an assembly line where you get food that's been laying in a warming bin for who-knows-how long, and frequently your meal may be dry and/or just warm.:(

Of course, you have the option to ask for a burger made from scratch, or fries just out of the fryer, but now you're standing off to the side, waiting, and having to flag the server to remind him that "that one" is yours...

What can I say? I love a good hamburger.;)

  15. Hopefully a walk, or a very short taxi ride from dock. We will have a 3-year old, and would love some place quiet with calm waters. Facilities not necessary - just want a chance to relax for a bit and maybe get wet, weather permitting.

    Any recommendations greatly appreciated.
