  1. We just flew home a couple of weeks ago from FLL. We did the Princess everglade and flamingo garden tour, with the transfer to the airport. This worked for our time schedule and left us at the airport early, with a flight at 6:00. Don't forget the construction at the airport. The wait for food was two hours to sit down, and we where limited in the terminal area. We opted for Peiwei/Jamba juice selection. Less crowded.

    Hi,

What time did you have to disembark the ship to do this tour of Everglades, flamingos and drop off at FLL? Our flight doesn't leave till 4:30pm

    Thanks

  2. We've sat at an airport all day with the kids in the past. Never again.

I found that I can spend about 10 hours going on an airboat ride, having a good meal, playing mini golf and riding go karts with the kids, go watch the sailaway (may be a bit depressing, so we may skip this) and get back to the airport with plenty of time to spare. It'll also be cheaper than the 4 hour Princess disembarkation tour.

Sounds great, but what do you do with your luggage? Our flight doesn't leave till 4:30 pm

  3. Yes. Bottles of wine for which the corkage fee has been paid can be consumed in the dining room. They'll mark your paid bottles. Reports are the marking is either a stamp or a sticker.

Your corkage fee free bottle is only for consumption in the cabin.

    Thanks Alot for the info!

    Darlene

  4. If we bring extra bottles of wine onboard and pay the $15 corkage fee each bottle, can we have it with dinner in the dining room? I know we can each bring 1 bottle onboard and have it in our cabin, no fee.

    Thanks Darlene

  5.

Downtown Charlotte Amalie is between Crown Bay and Havensight.

It is only about 15 (or so) minutes taxi ride to downtown and you'll have plenty of time. Most of the shops open between 9:00 and 9:30. It is very easy to catch a taxi back to the ship when you re ready. They continuously roll down the main street looking for riders ready to go back to Crown Bay. Just signal to the driver or easily call out to him/her and they'll be more than happy to stop for you.

Thanks a lot for all the info! Darlene

  6. Why would you pass by the downtown area to shop at Havensight? Downtown has a better selection of shops and all the old world charm.

Oh ok! Same question would there be enough time getting from crown bay to downtown for a couple of hours of shopping and back by noon?

  7. They have built Crown Bay up a bit more than it used to be and there are a more shops and stalls/stands but not nearly as many as Havensight.

Will we have enough time by taxi to go from crown bay to havensight to shop a couple hours early in am to get back to ship for a 12:15 excursion?:)

  8. Yes, there is some shopping, but not as much as in town or Havensight. All the basics are covered.

Thanks! Saying that it would it be a long taxi ride over to the haven sight side to do some shopping in the early part of morning before a 12:15 excursion from our ship in crown bay.want to make sure we would have enough time to get there and back in time!

    Thanks
