Might be time to update this with all the new changes coming down the pike.

We took a long, long walk to Jack's Shack... Too long of a walk.. but a nice walk.

I guess everyone's opinion differs. I wouldn't describe it as a long walk at all, let alone a long, long walk.

I just looked on Google Earth to make sure my mind wasn't fuzzy but it isn't that long of a walk (unless you have mobility issues) If you do then yeah i might take a cab, cant imagine it would cost much.

I would suggest Jacks Shack as well. Just a little further walk down the beach. His drinks were in the 5-8 dollar range (not cheap but not as bad as the Margaritaville tourist trap)

He also sells some good food. We had the jerk chicken and it was VERY tasty!

As far as I am concerned, if you CAN afford to purchase insurance AND if you choose not to, society should just let you die. You made a choice and I do not want to have to pay for your lack of foresight.

 

Now, if you can not afford insurance, that is another issue. However. if I pay for your charity medical care, you should be required to sign and carry with you a lifetime non-revocable organ donor card so at least society gets something back when you croak.

Just returned from Cabo yesterday. Bought two big bottles of amoxicillin for 26 US dollars. Girl at the pharmacia didnt ask for anything other then the money.

As I said, I am actually a bartender so I get enough of that in real life.

Must say it must have been a real challenge to become sober when your a bartender. Congrats tho!

Do you fly into Long Beach airport or LAX? I've flown to/from both, but not for cruises. Does Princess shuttle pick up at Long Beach?

Long Beach is closer to San Pedro, not to mention being a much smaller airport its MUCH easier to get out out of then LAX.

Wow interesting thread. Never planned on going to Jamaica just because its the armpit of the western hemisphere but didn't realize it had such a violent history toward gays.

I would run a mile to grab a shovel to kill a snake as i HATE snakes. We never saw a single snake while cave tubing.

I have been reading up on the insides on the Lido cause thats what i have been booked and every review i have read has been positive.

FrannyK Thanks for the tip. Our cruise isnt until December so Southwest isnt even selling air for our trip yet. I have priced all the airlines and they are all within 50 bucks of each other. Delta is non stop from Salt Lake City though so is my best bet so far.

I guess it makes it tough for me seeing as i work for a airline and fly for free :eek: , but when it comes to a cruise i dont like standby as i dont want to miss my cruise because a flight was full and it would cost me more then buying air to take days off to make sure i make it to port in time.

I just got my air and hotel reservations booked so I'm really getting excited now. I was really sweating out the high air prices out there :0

 

No kidding! We are looking at 411.00 dollars each. Cant decide if i should wait or bite the bullet and sell my soul to Delta.

Has anyone attended this on the Legend? What did you think about it, was it worth the $15 per person? Any information would be appreciated.

They are NOT watching your balcony with cameras--but, your neighbor can certainly "peek" around the divider and see you! Don't do anything out there you don't want someone to see!

Darn, does this mean i shouldnt get "busy" on my Balcony? :eek:
