OMG we were under the galley on the Elation and had to wear ear plugs because of so much noise all night long! We like the cove balconies in the front of the Dream class ships.

The DJ on Ledo on our trip a year ago was amazing. He was mixing country like I have never heard it before. Never heard country music played anywhere else.

Havanan bar for a Havana ice tee and then to the Pig and Anchor for lunch. They weren’t busy on embarkation day and they are both on deck 5

We really missed these when we were on the Vista. And the Thalassotherapy pool on Vista was nothing like on the dream or breeze.

We are booked on our second Vista trip next March because we loved the Havana area. Booked a Havana interior so we could take advantage of the pool and hot tubs all day long. But we missed the Dreams hot tubs on the side of the ship on deck 5. For the price I would think it would be the Dream most definitely.

I am wondering if it is a Vista thing... they had Blantons, ( really good bourbon for price point ). I asked for it with two rocks and the guy gave me a very hard time. He even got the rest of the patrons to try and talk me into letting him make it better....
I simply told him, that unless he was a master distiller of bourbon, I would be good with it in a glass with 2 ice cubes please.
I never went back, because it was not a good environment.
Some people love it. I'm just a simpleton when it comes to drinks and I think it's because I wanted it in a highball glass and they dint like that. I'll get on in the stake house.

Told the bartender I wanted a gin martini on the rocks no olives and was turned away on the Vista in January.

Was on the Vista in January and there was a M&M on the first sea day at like 11 am. The problem was that only a few people got the notice in their mail box outside their room. The woman that set the room up from CCL said they sent the message to those that signed up groups of people. Which I know is not correct. Only 8 showed if over 40 that signed up. I've been to a couple M&M on previous cruises that didn't have many show up. May not do this again in the future.

The M&M we had on the Vista Jan 28th cruise we had 10 people eventually show up. And of those I think 2 couples got a note in their cabin mail box. We did not. The person that was waiting at the door said that they gave the note to those that signed up a group of people. That wasn't true because one of those that got one only signed up for 2. And so did we. We had over 65 people signed up and 10 show. I think both CC and Carnival are at fault. We probably will not go to one again.

Essencia were amazing on the Breeze last year. I hope they will be on the Vista for our Jan 28th cruise.

When does Ji Ji's open in the evening. My wife just said since we are late seating for the dinning room we could stop in here for an early bite and hit the DR after and eat lighter that night. Sounds like a plan.

Does Ji Ji's on the Vista have a menu for lunch that you can pay for like at Dinner? We really want to try some of their food but we have so many more dinner events (Steakhouse, Chefs Table) and like eating in the dining room as well and don't want to miss anything. I hope it's not just the Mongolian Wok for lunch. I like it but was hoping for Ji Ji's for lunch and don't mind the extra charge.
Thanks
VC

On our last trip on the Breeze I would get up and go to the omelette station to get breakfast for my wife and I. I would cover each plate with another plate turned upside down and stack them on top of each other. Worked nicely. We left the plates in the room each time but I have read that you really need to leave it all in the hall. I've always thought that looked so tacky.

Our roll call group has decided to set our own up on the first sea day. And if carnival sets one up as well, more fun for us[emoji322]. I do believe that those that sign up and then don't show up are letting all those down that really enjoy meeting new people at the M&M's. it's so enjoyable to meet people early in the cruise and then see them out and about during the rest of the cruise.

Is there such a thing as a double digit dance? If so, I'm late! 82 days and counting! Whooohoooo. Got 3 excursions booked. Final payment done. And looking at ordering in room beverages. The apparel in the Fun Shops online has gone down hill lately. We used to have a couple shirts waiting for us but what they have now is kind of lame. Wife wants the beach bag and towel set. [emoji12]

I recommend staying in Daphne just across the bridge. Not as congested as Mobile.

We have used FB Messenger while on the ship and did video chat that didn't work too well with the video but you could hear them just fine. Just a little lag in the conversation every now and then. We used it to keep in touch with the kids while away. They are all adults but it was kind of fun with pictures back and forth. They felt like they were there with us the whole time.

They must have just released some today. I was on carnival yesterday and didn't see it. Now this morning it is there and I've selected my checkin time.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm sure it may change after the Vista crosses the pond.

Booze bought thru the fun shops is limited to 2 bottles per cabin. I’ve never bought one while on the ship.
