  1. We're down for ATD on the Miracle, just 2 of us. We like to sit on a large table with other diners. Would we be able to do this?

No problem with sitting with DH only, but hey I'm on holiday I like to be social.

We have a saying where I'm from. I'm from Yorkshire - I talk to anyone! 👍😎

  2. For my 50th we cruised the Panama. First formal night we were all dressed up ready to go to dinner, when my DH went for his black shoes. Shock horror I'd not realised I'd left them at home. Ship hire shop had shut by now and DH was throwing a strop saying he was going to dinner in trainers! Called attendant who said leave it with me, by this time DH is taking his suit off. 10 mins later knock on door reveals attendant with 4 pairs of black shiny shoes in varying sizes. He said the hire shop guy owed him a favour. He was well rewarded. Phew

  3. Also a Brit here yet I have never done a Carnival typical cruise ie 7 days around the Caribbean.

Our Baltic cruise in 2013 was 50/50 North American/European - We also met people from Asia and a few aussies. We had 20 different European nationalities on board although the majority were British.

Our Panama Canal cruise last year was mostly US passengers with a good number of Aussies (it was heading down under) with a few Europeans on board....including Portuguese and German.

We seemed to be the youngest European passengers and got mistaken for Aussies a couple of times. :D

We are planning to sail with Carnival Aus (Sydney to Singapore) next year so that will be different as well.

Ha ha. On my US travels we gave been mistaken for Welsh, Aussie, Scandinavian. And German! That was in Greenville Alabama.

  4. A comedian I saw once, spoke of seeing a large woman walking down the road wearing leggings that looked like two boys fighting under a blanket!

Oh the imagination of this scene.

Men wearing checks and stripes together is another grumble.

  5. I love people watching. But there are some serious crimes against fashion taking place everywhere. Don't get me wrong here, I can recognise good style on any age, but some people don't have a mirror in their home before they go out.

What's the worst fashion disaster you have seen worthy of a visit from Fashion Police? I'm afraid my pet hate is socks and sandals on men!

  6. hi there, I'm very interested in all your comments about the Miracle. We're saling on 7th Feb, our first time with Carnival as previously have been with RCI., NCL And P&O

Saling on the the Miracle is part of a 17 day holiday package from UK including 4 nights LV 2 in SF and 2 in LA, and then the cruise. I think I will need a restful cruise after a busy week.

We only ask for good food, good staterooms and good service. I hope I get all 3 on my first Carnival experience.
