  1. Good morning all,

Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere before...I did a quick check and did not see it.

Why does it take so long for online payments to show on your account. I'd make a payment and the balance due would actually increase...minutes later I'd receive an invoice showing the correct balance, but online it still shows the increase. When I call customer service they say it takes a few hours for it to post...and then the balance is updated.

I can understand a few hours...but I made a payment 8:30pm EST last night, and it is now 7:48pm EST and the correct balance is still not showing.

Has anyone else been experiencing this?

  2. I visit ESJ every March for two weeks. The lobby has recently been updated. They in the process of updating the rooms. Beach access is very easy and there is a plethora of beach activities; jet skies, para sailing, banana boats. You can get beach chairs in the commissary located in the parking garage (not sure if there is a charge as we have our own). We really enjoy the pool. Sounds a little hokey but everyday at 2pm there is bingo poolside, for cash, drink tickets and bottles of rum. During my visits they usually sell out of bingo cards. For meals we just walk down the beach and stop at local venues. The beach is a horseshoe shaped cove. ESJ is at one end, if your family likes to collect shells just walk to the other end of the beach and there will be shells. The other end of the cove is more local residential. When I am there I run it in the morning and walk it late afternoon with no issues. There is a Pueblo supermarket and Walgreens a few blocks away. Isla Verde Ave will have a variety of restaurants, local establishments to American fast food. A taxi to Old San Juan is about $16.00. When I visit there is always lots of little ones enjoying the beach. Building sand castles is very popular.I hope you enjoy Puerto Rico, it is my favorite vacation destination.

Thank you so much for this information...I can already see the babies having fun in the sand and I would love the opportunity to go for an early morning walk. My husband is all for the bingo, so I'm hoping they have it going on in December. Glad to know that eateries are close by. Definitely planning on visiting OSJ.

Thank you again so much for your response.

  3. Hi all,

Does anyone have information on the ESJ Azul? Has anyone stayed there before? How was the experience? Close to restaurants etc...travelling with 2 adults and 2 kids ages 4,3, staying in SJU 2 nights post cruise.

Any and all information will be welcomed.

    Thanks

  4. Thank you very much...This helps a lot. Will probably look at something else. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Travelling with a 3 and 4 year old.

  5. Hi all,

We will be spending one night pre-cruise in SJU and was looking at Hyatt House and Hyatt Place San Juan City Center. Leaving on Celebrity Summit and was hoping that someone a little more familiar with the place can tell me which one is closer to the port (Pan American) and which one has stores/restaurants etc within walking distance. (Price is about the same)

    Thanks in advance
