  1. I am sorry but I think you should have gone with your first instinct on whether or not to post this.

Everyone here have internet access, news access? Pretty sure that answer is yes. So I don't see the purpose of posting other than to stir the pot, no offense meant, truly.

Let the investigators do their job and pray for the family.

Let's not stir thing up but have some compassion in what is a very tragic situation.

  2. The reunion show was interesting to see. Yet again, shows how the manipulate things - let's see how much emotion we can pull when we put people on the spot. Typical. And we all lapped it right up!

Did anyone catch the clip from the ousted Daniel, when he said I love you Heidi, .... silence... did you see his face fall? I wonder if there really was silence or if that's just editing?

The collections, Eh. That's about it. I didn't think any of them were anything great at all. One or two pieces here and there are nice but I don't think any of them, as a collection, are consistent or well done. Just my tiny little opinion.

They did elude to some kind of a one final suprise for next week and I wonder if that one final surprise is bringing Kara back?? I am wondering how her stuff got on there??

Project Jay,,, honestly, I don't know how he will manage. I felt so bad for him over the Heidi dress deal but welcome to the big leagues. For all the fancy events they all have several dress options and it can be anyone's guess what they will end up wearing. You hear time and time again that many don't decide until the last minute or even give in to a last minute change of heart and suddenly switch.

I hate the fact that it can be dress by committee!! Heidi's the one that give the specifics to Jay while it was her publicist and stylist, I think that's what they said, that vetoed the red hot mama in favor for a flowing Mother Earth image. Why didn't she consult them to begin with if they were going to be deciding what she'd wear? I think this little incident tarnished Heidi's aura a bit. That surprised me. Though she called to apologize after the fact, why didn't she call to tell him to begin with??

Poor Jay. I guess it will be another adventure seeing how he'll make out in the big city!

  3. I missed it last night as well. Will catch it this week in reruns.

I bet Santino is there till the end. All shows have to have a hook, someone that stirs the pot, etc. They'll keep him for as long as they can because controversy drives ratings. Which is fine. I just don't think he's qualified to win. My money would have been on Daniel or Chloe. You Daniel comment really surprises me. I thought he was nicer than that! Wow.

  4. Of all the shows I've seen to date, this one was the one that I thought was the flatest.

Not particularly interesting, really. But I suppose it's just another element of design and compared to last week's flower/leaves/moss disaster, maybe this was suppose to bring them back to fabric and working in a little better comfort zone, since they all know each other at this point. And of course a good example of cooperation on another level, designing for a client.

Which is why I think there was so much give and take between Kara and Santino. Yes, her idea, but she wanted very much for it to be for Santino and an extension or expression of him. So he had input on choice on fabric, etc. If he has hind site and thinks he helped her too much, that's his fault. He needs to learn how to rein in, his basic problem anyway! Kara could be more aggressive but I will say more and more she's impressing me. She's like a little sleeper stuck in there.

Loved Chloe's outfit for Nick, wonderful, really. And considering she doesn't do men's fashion, a stretch.

Hated her dress. Daniel, I don't know where the heck his head was on this won. How did it go from Flirty party girl to an bad hooker look? Yick. Hard, cold, uninspired, didn't fit and unfinished! He might as well have sent her in her pj's. He'd have made a better impression.

Nick, I feel sorry for him. He's so sweet but yup, wrong choice right down the line. I liked the concept. The execution was terrible and as we all know, the fabric. What ever possessed him to choose that?

Santino. UGH. UGLY. She's a Charlie's Angel's reject, a 1960's Invasion of the women from Venus. Horrible. The color was awful. The fit was uncomfortable, and it was falling apart on the runway - I mean REALLY ! Taping on the sleeves?~! Who wouldn't think they'd be called out on the carpet for that!!

Even though I sit here and criticise, I couldn't do 1/10th of what they've done, never mind create the concept, have 30 minutes to shop in this overwhelming fabric shop and put it all together in two days or less.

To be where they are, win or lose, says so much.

  5. I thought this was, by far, the most challenging task yet!

It's one thing to design clothing, quite another to design them basically not of material!! Wow!

Considering, I thought all showed great creativity, obviously some outfits worked better than others. Again, I wish Chloe had more time. She's got a great eye, loves fine detail and is not afriad of hard work.

Kara, most impressive. I was shocked, really. I thought if anyone was going to have a meltdown it would be her but she really rose to the occasion. Incredible not to mention generous of spirit to take time out and help Chloe.

Nick, that was a tough one. He really had not a clue and he knew it. But I was sorry to see his original model get the boot. She's good.

Santino, I actually thought their criticism was unfair and uncalled for. So what if it was shiny and even if it looked a bit plastic. I didn't think it was bad, I think he's trying harder and I do think they've made him understand that he has to conform to advance but didn't you just love his " I want Immunity so I can really blast them with the next design and not take the heat for it" moment!? :) Yeah, under the toned down, there is still a huge rebel. He's going to struggle.

Daniel, hey, what can I say. This kid is incredible and they love him. You have to admit, the dress was darn good. LOVE the choice in flower. Stunning. Stunning. Stunning!!!

I missed the earlier show and had to wait till midnight to catch the rerun!!

  6. Perhaps Santino will surprise us all in the next episode? I didn't think his dress was really all that bad but have to say I really like what Andre (sp?)did better than Daniels but hey, they were both creative as was Chloe.

Nick is too tempermental. What would happen if a model became ill and he had to use another one? Would he sulk and want to give up on his collection?

Sorry for the lack of knowledge but what is a "gumby"?

I am dating myself! Gumby (and Pokey) were rubber children's figures and an animated childrens program from years ago.

Gumby is the green guy! Not sure why Tim choose that phrase to describe the model, Gumby was quite a popular guy when I was a kid !! :)

  7. Completely forgot that Olympus starts next week!

I had such high hopes for Santino...~e

I was curious to see how he would progress and I am not really surprised. I've been around that type before - big fish in little pond syndrom and now struggling in the big pond. :)

Olympics - I am excited! The wife of one of our waiters from our last cruise is on the Romanian Biathlon team! We're all watching for her!

  8. They are done filming and the final three should be close to finishing up their collections because the Olympus Fashion Week kicks off February 3-10th (next Friday) so the final three only have two weeks at MOST to finish their collections.

I agree about Santino. I thought he had so much talent.

I think he's too much of a loose cannon to work productively under any type of constraints. He bucks the system and just wants it to all be Santino and they've tried and tried to reel him in... sometimes the difference between the good and the great is how you can diversify and perform in any situation and I don't think he's show that he can do that.

They've given him more chances than anyone and he's all over the page with it.

    I just don't think he's there yet.

  9. I really felt sorry for Nick. His design wasn't up to his potential, but he really took losing his model hard. The look on his face when Zulema wanted a walk-off was priceless! Poor guy.

Loved how Tim Gunn described Zulema's former model! He is just too funny.

Knew Daniel would win. His design was so different. He really has range and I like that about him.

Santino...now he's on the opposite side of the spectrum. Was really expecting something different from him, something with a bit more spunk.

Kara's dress was way too safe...and boring. She doesn't do something spectacular next week she may be on her way out.

Zulema was way too cocky. Her outift looled uninspired, and not even finished. I don't think she expected to win one week, then be out the next.

    Looking forward to next week!

I thought given the circumstances that Nick's model redeemed herself. Though I nearly fell on the floor laughing over Tim's Gumby description! Priceless!

Daniel is so talented and has this lovely rich understated beauty. Incredible.

I was torn between his outfit and Andrea's. I actually thought Andrea's was a better representation of his inspiration and quite a wonderful transformation from gutter rain to this beautiful gown. But I thought Daniel's had more depth and really looked expensive.

Santino, lord. What on earth was that? That's worse than the Santino effect! A nightmare and a huge faux paus using almost the exact fabric from one of last season's dresses!

Kara, bless her heart. I've yet to figure out what she's even doing there.

Zulema, well, you know. Karma's a great thing. She got what was coming to her. She tries to be cut throat and edgie and the bottom line is she's not a finisher. I think she got designer block because she took Daniel's model. The vibes from everyone had to be just intense over this. Bad form, really, bad form. Yes, they present the design but for heaven sakes if it's crap to begin with even the top model isn't going to sell it.

You didn't mention Chloe. I actually thought her's was quite interesting and would love to have seen the dress if she'd had more time to complete more detail. I bet it would have been stunning.

It sure is fun to watch this stuff!

  10. I love Tim Gunn!!

And I'd pay to see Santino taken down a few pegs. That boy's his own worst enemy but you know, he's just another Puck. Got to have a few of them in there to keep you talking and typing threads! I think his time's coming. They've tried to wind him in a bit but he never listens. Me thinks he doth protest too much... :)

  11. If Orlando is your focus do what you need to and take the leisurely drive down and relax. No sense in stressing by trying to do too much at once.

I like the pike myself, always thought it was faster but like anything else, that can change with the traffic or an accident, I'd get off at sunrise too, but I'd be tempted to come down the night before so I could have dinner at Pier 66, even though it's pricy, and then head up to the revolving bar/dance area..love that place!

Plus I might opt for a water taxi ride, kind of see the scenes from another perspective and some great homes plus it's not expensive, kind of makes up for dinner at Pier 66 - ha!!.
