I agree.  The cart by the Key West Aquarium is a fairly close second, but The Conch Shack is the best in town.   They also have great Cracked Conch if you want to try that as well.

I don't even know what cracked conch is.. but hey.. I'l try it!!!

We went down to  Duval Street because of a recommendation of a friend. We stumbled on Pinchers  Crab Shack with two for one drinks and wonderful food.  I found some wonderful sandels near by that are my new favorite brand.

    what kind of sandals??  Kinos??

  4. I am looking forward to having some conch fritters on my stop in Key West in June.

Where can I go for the best conch fritter?

I love them so much that if people had more than one favorite place I would probably visit both.. lol

    so bring on the recommendations!!

Shabby Chic Class away from the Cruise Herds. Book in advance.

Prices on menu are in Eastern Caribbean Dolllars = 1 US$ equals 2.70 Eastern Caribbean Dollars

Not a "grab a bed and shade" place.

I understand that it's not a grab a bed and shade place but if we have lunch there are we able to have a chair with shade for the day?

  6. I don't know if they're waterproof but I would assume so. We always use the storage bags to pack our clothes. Like the ones that suck all the air out. We use the ones that roll up so that I can fit more in my bag. Especially if I am not flying because weight of my suitcase does not matter . And I would assume they would keep your clothes dry as well

  7. What about the new thing I am starting to see a lot of - think they are called Baca clips. No need for books, flip flops, or other phony props. Just hang your towel, put a couple of these clips on and and you are good for the day.

I am at the point I am now admitting defeat and have joined the rebel army. I'll be out there at 6am; get two good chairs for my wife and I, including two in the shade and two in the solarium. Back to the cabin, wake the wife, do a couple of S's, go have breakfast, stop by the Purser's Desk for a status on our account, stop by Bachio's on Five for a cappuccino. Now, back to the cabin, pack our bags, change clothes and meander out to the deck areas. Carefully examine the weather and based on it's properties, choose one of the three areas we have pre selected. As the day and the weather changes, we'll move from location to location

New attitude after 26 cruises. It's my vacation; I paid a lot of money for it; I'll do whatever I want, whenever I want and wherever I want. To hell with the rest of the passengers. I was a polite gentleman for 20 years and followed all the niceties. No more Mr. Nice Guy. I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!

Its every wimp for him or herself. This is war people, take no prisoners, show no mercy. Read The Art of War by Sun Tzu. Some good stuff in there.

There is only one thing I am afraid of and that is the 78 year old grandmother with 8 towels in her hand for her entire family. I was in Vietnam, I was shot at, I think (maybe) I can handle one little old lady.

To find me I'll be the old bald guy with skinny, white legs and cargo shorts like the kids wearing and brand new sparkling white sneakers with the velcro tabs.

Lmao... I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or serious. But either way I love it. Though I have to admit I am tired of being the nice person all the time. Maybe I need to be more pushy. The only problem I have is once there is some sort of altercation I seem to run into the same person the whole trip and it makes me very uncomfortable

  8. On the Feb. Quantum sail, they did not weigh any of us. There was a gentleman in our group, who was at least 6.4 and close or slightly more than the weight limit--instructor had no problem maneuvering him in the silo.

Ugh, I didn't even notice a weight limit.. I am 243 lbs now. (After l losing 245 lbs) I am 6ft tall. Hopefully they let me go.. I will be so disappointed

  9. We booked a cruise leaving January 22 iin October of 2015 when RCI had a sale with substantial OBC, We used our regular TA who also gave us OBC. I know it doesn't usually show up until day 2. My question is, we called RCI to confirm our onboard credit and they were able to verify the purchased onboard credit from the TA but not the promotional OBC from RCI. They said only our TA could verify it, which we have several emails from the TA stating we have the credit. Is this normal, or should RCI be able to see it already? Am I worried for nothing? I'd just hate to find out on the ship that someone messed up.

We had obc from RCI for booking onboard and also obc from TA gor transferring our reservation to her. When I called RCI they only show theirs. Our TA said her OBC will show up by day 2
