Hii ya everyone!
I have not sailed Carnival in a while, so I wanted to check in - I noticed that they are running a staggered check in time - with 12 noon showing as the first time available. (was their a earlier one and I totally missed it??).
I also found out they no longer do early check in on the Queen Mary -
Back in the day, I used to be on board the ship by 12 - not check in at 12!
We have FTTF - can we arrive before 12 noon? (Disney you can) What time do they start to check people in? Is FTTF even worth it know?
Thanks - and I am sorry if repeat questions - I did do searchers first, I promise!

Question about booking window's. We can book 90 days out - as we are returning guests. I want to try and get the following things:
1. Cabana (ya, never going to happen I am sure)
2. Palo Brunch on Sea Day
3. Tickets to see the princesses.
When my booking windows open can I go straight to the cabana or do I have to put in our passports, credit cards, etc?
Ie My Online Check in first, then Book items? And where is everything found? Is it all under actives?
Thanks so much everyone!

Wahoo! We are 104 days out, and I can not wait! I like the smaller ships and am enjoying sailing them before they disappear forever!

PS. Any pixs?
Oh and what was the dining room menu?

I think I just booked those, are they $225? I am trying to find out details, infos and photos. Can you pre select a cabin number? Is there a map?
Off to look for the link!

The last time we cruised out of San Juan, the disembarkation was crazy. We have a 12:25 flight back to San Diego - X in Atl.
Carnival is offering a transfer for $16.00 per person.
Has anyone done it? Is baggage, customs faster?
Thanks!

We will be sailing on her in June, and I just read today that the Jewel will be in dry dock. Anyone know what they are adding?
Thanks!

The Solarium Cafe is what will become Park Cafe during Jewel's dry dock in 2016.
Right now, late in the evening, the Solarium Cafe will have pizza slices and other snacks.
when is the dry dock? we are sailing on her in June - what else is being done?
thanks!

It will not work with me. In fact, I will drink even less now if all cocktails are starting at 10.00 + the tip and I wont be tipping extra like I did in the past.
Ditto. Means we will drink less not more.

my first cruise, back in 84, they did that. it was really nice.

I had the owners suite last fall, and kept my FTTF.
It was totally work skipping the lines, etc.
-
I felt at ease with Disney, Royal, and Carnival.
BUT I found it depend somewhat on the ship.

Thanks for the review.. a few questions..
Do the kids get a gift bag, or something like a takeway, or is it just you breakfast?
My DD is going to be 10 on the ship when we go, do you have any kids club deets to post?
Thanks!

Drop bags in room (FTTF)
Take photos of the room. Buy Bubbles/Drink pkg if we are doing it on the cruise.
Head to buffet - grab a poolside table.
Order drinks of the day.
Wait till DH and DD get their meal.
Then I go and get my meal - I don't go inside, but make Nachos, etc.
If its a new ship to us, I take 1001 photos before the ship fills up!

my next cruise. ;-)

a real pub

My DD started to Cruise at 3, we never had a issue. I am sure dad held her at one point, but it was fine.

If you have FTTF and are at the port when boarding starts you be done with lunch long before it gets crowded.
Totally. I grab three poolside seats, my husband and daughter get their food, and then I get mine. Its perfect (but only if you dont mind not eating at a table).
We tend to have FTTF so its empty when we board, so we can move fast.. and we don't do the full hot buffet selections inside.

Those lines are the same pre and post FTTF.
At busy times we've seen every station at GS manned and the ship only has so many doors to tender out of.
Same no matter the cruise line.
And airline, and train, and anywhere large groups of people flow.

Does anyone of a copy of the Carnival Dream ship? Ideally a 11 night Southern, or any Southern or any cruise!

(how far in advance can you make requests again? thanks!)
