  1. I have had a Prius as well. The tank is 11.9 gallons but rarely could I fit 9 gallons due to the reserves.

The trick to getting 35 gal. And get more than what a small tank holds is take an extra vehicle to pull up and a couple extra 5 gallon gas cans for riding mower or just gas for your car later. Just have your spouse/friend pull up behind you without hanging nozzle up.

  2. I must have accidentally done that. Thanks. What area of hotels would you recommend that are 30-minutes-1 hour away from port? We are driving in from Atlanta - metro that is.. A little town named Covington no one has heard of. Thanks again. Donna

  3. $4000.00 Cash brought for every cruise? Not all of have that kind of spending $$$. You said you pay off S&S with cash. I enjoy the free gift cards or statement credits from using my charge cards. They are paid off in full to avoid any interest charges. Some cards pay 2% on everything like Citibank Double Cashback or 3% like Sam's MasterCard on the travel category. You would make $120.00 in free $ on $4000.00 with the 3% back on travel with Sam's MasterCard.

  4. All my other cruises laundry shows up as laundry charge then credited back. Never shown up as a $90 credit the entire cruise. We are both plat. But only send out laundry once during a cruise.i prefer to take swimsuits and MDR clothing home to do Oma gentle cycle. I have seen posts that said everything is washed in hot water together and some posted their clothes came back grey!

  5. I see this is a Carnival excursion.. to Tabyana beach. Can you go on your own? Cost? For admittance or taxi ride. We leave Friday to drive down the to port and sail on Sat. l0/4. Trying to decide what to do in Roatan.

  6.

We are cruising out of Pt. Canaveral on the Liberty and looking for the best price for discounted parking or a hotel with cruise/parking/shuttle.

Does it bother anyone else than when you are quoted a daily rate for discounted parking they want to charge you for an extra day? Like if I go on a 7 day cruise/7night cruise they charge for 8 days? Kind of like they are double collecting for the same day - you get there and you leave.. Collecting from you and the person who parked the same day before or after you. To me like charging someone for 2 nights in a hotel when you only stayed l night.:D

  7. I've used Radisson 3 times, and 3 great experiences. You need to book one of their Park N Cruise packages. A standard room booking doesn't include cruise parking or shuttle. But this last time, the Park N Cruise rate ended up being only $5 more than the standard rate for us. I called in a few months early and got put on the list for the earliest possible shuttle, 10:30. Some hotels that shuttle people don't start until 11:30 or noon. That's a dealbreaker for me! Radisson has always started the shuttling a little early, as everyone on the list is always there, ready to go early. Be in the lobby, ready to go around 10:00-10:15.

Radisson's pool area is very nice. The rooms might not be up to the standard of a fancy resort, but the public areas are great! It really has the feel & atmosphere of a pre-cruise hotel.

I am confused as to why you need to pay for a shuttle for your gf. If you are driving, you could simply pick her up at the airport. Much much cheaper, even if it involves an extra trip from the hotel to the airport. I dropped off friends at the Orlando airport after my last cruise, and that airport could not have been easier to navigate through for a dropoff.

I am not picking up my girlfriend from the airport as she is traveling with her fiancé and son and her brother also - they've booked 2 cabins. My car - with my husband and I in it won't hold the 4 of them. My daughter is also going and wants me to carry her luggage in my car for them if they decide to fly. We have done this before - dropped off all the luggage lst and picked them up to take to the port but last time there was just 3 of them (Grannie had the baby) but this time there will be 4 of them. I am not paying for the girlfriend and her family - just trying to find a place for them to stay that might pick the up at the airport - take to the hotel - transport to cruise terminal the next day and pick up from the cruise terminal to transport back to the airport. I suggested a rental car but they'd prefer not use a rental car.

But thanks for your suggestions and I'll certain check out the Radisson myself since so many people suggested it.

  8. I am booked on a cruise l0/4 on the Liberty going out of Pt. Canaveral. We will drive down - take the "cheap way" but looking for the best place to park and also stay. Either separately - a off site parking place and hotel or a package. Any suggestions?

Also talked my girlfriend into going too. She's flying in from KY and wants to come the night before. She's looking for a hotel that would pick up at the airport - transport to the hotel - then to the cruise terminal on Sat. and then from cruise terminal back to the airport. Any suggestions? Thanks!;)

  9. Yes, it can be used on the other lines Carnival owns. I purchased my 100 shares earlier this year ( 3 days before a booked cruise, and got the OBC for that cruise), and think if you cruise CCL, it is a no brainer. I have another cruise booked in November, and have the OBC for that one too. Go for it - my financial advisor said it is a solid stock.

Thanks for all the replies! I like your financial advisor saying it was a solid stock! I do plan to buy some. :D

  10. I am considering buying the l00 shares of Carnival stock. I like the perk of the $l00 onboard credit for 7 night cruises. I heard it was $50 for less than 7 days? I've never bought any specific stock before. I have some "Deferred Comp." with a mixture of funds bought thru my employer. Where exactly do you go to buy Carnival stock? Who has it and likes it or thinks not worth it? What are the dividends like? I am booked on a cruise in Oct. for 7 nights. I heard you can still get the credit if you buy the stock before the cruise even if booked. Need advice - help :)

I've retired and my husband plans to in the next 6 months or so. We hope to go on more "last min." good deal cruises. We are VIP - Platinum w/Carnival.
