If you have ever rented a cabana at Half Moon Cay  you will be disappointed.   The beach was nothing like Half Moon.  It is totally enclosed with Wi-Fi available. 

Those purple grapes were originally pink. It was like walking into a bottle of pepto-bismol.

Low humidity and an over abundance of perfume causes my sinus and upper respiratory infections.

Thank you for the info, we have a cabana booked for our changed itinerary. I just couldn't find any info as to whether or not you had to go to shore excursion desk and choose a particular cabana.

Do you need to go to the shore excursion desk and reserve a specific cabana like you do at Half Moon Cay? If so, which would you prefer? Thanks

We will go somewhere in late October. Anywhere is OK with me. Just sail away. Would be surprised if eastern Caribbean.

Definitely S & S card except for tips and the small trinket shops. Been there 5 times on Carnival.

Disposable poncho

Only once in 18 cruises. We were on a b2b and when I went to reserve my cabana at Half Moon the lady laughed and said I was not on the ship. Guess my card did not ding properly when we got back on the ship. Only took a couple of minutes to fix.

Hubby and I are in our early 70's and we love Carnival. We do not use the serenity areas. Going on our 18th cruise in May and have never been bothered with rowdy kids or drunken guests.

What are the cabanas up to now....$300? For $300 you get a tool shed with some chips, an apple and a 6 pack of soda. Or you can rent a clamshell under a palm tree for about $10....not really a hard choice now

You get much more than that. You get a plate of cut up fruit, and plate of cut up veggies, 8 soft drinks, 2 large bottles of water, a/c, misting fan, shower, 4 floats, 4 snorkel gear, tables &chairs, 2 padded loungers. You have the best of all world's.

I am bothered more with the stench of perfume that you cannot avoid.

This is not some little path through the jungle. Hubby and I did this last fall and had a blast. It rained hard that day and the boulders and roots were very slick. Very narrow path in places with very sharp turns. We all came back soaked and muddy. Sadly we cannot do this excursion again in May since they changed the description to extreme and no one over 65 years of age.

Best excursion ever after 17 cruises.

You will have towels in the cabana. They pick them up about 3 o'clock.

The big blue Carnival towels are heavy when wet.

We have pre-paid and left on sign and sail and have never noticed a difference.

A ban on perfume and cologne. This is a health issue for me.

Stayed at the Hampton Inn several times. It is only a short path to the beach. Will stay there again anytime.

Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach, just a short path to the beach. Free parking with the cruise pkg. and shuttle to and from the port.
