For port stops in Egypt does the cruise line take care of the Egypt Visa ?

Trip from Schiphol to Waterland is 27 km and taxi fare around 70 Euros.

I checked the website of the Amsterdam cruiseterminal http://www.ptamsterdam.nl/nl/cruises-portal

 

and indeed on July 9th (confusing since in Europe we write that as 09/07 and not 07/09!) indeed Vision of the Seas will leave from a different alternative cruise terminal. So you will need a cab this time to go from one ship to the other. The other terminal is in an industrial area of the port, donot expect public transport or shops around there.

We are on the same July 9 Vision of the Seas with Ken ( Swing King ).

Any estimate on the cost of a taxi from the airport to Waterland ?

I am hoping the taxi's are metered so we don't get ripped off and the driver knows how to get there.

We have done the Vancouver - Fort Lauderdale flight.

The best options have been mentioned.

1. Alaska Airlines - Vancouver to Seattle to FLL

2. Alaska / Southwest - Vancouver to Seattle on Alaska. Southwest to FLL with a stop in St. Louis.

The Southwest option will be less expensive and with the extra stop arrives about one hour later than going all the way on Alaska Airlines.

There is a Quick Shuttle bus to Sea Tac Airport from several stops in Vancouver - check their website.

Lots to see in Vancouver - hopefully the weather is good !! ;)

Spend one night anyway - no need to rush back to West Palm Beach.
